Got the very same thing this morning. I too will go to my bank. I had a virus two weeks ago and had to involve tech support. Maybe that's when I became exposed.

Hello, I was minding my own business online, when my computer told me that it was being attacked by a trojan or something (I am not computer literate) It instantly looked like it was tellin me to use my windows spyware, and run a check, which of course I did. My screen froze and I could not turn of my computer. Soon after holding the down the power key to turn it of and on again, I tried to run my webroot spyware and anti virus, but it had been knocked off my computer. This was towards the end of Jan. or first week of Feb. today (2-21-09) I billed appeared on my online bank card of $69 for ecmn. I immediatedly called my bank, put a fraud alert and they have cancel the card. They said ecmn might just be testing the account to see if $69 would go through, and then debit the account for thousands. I am was asked if I would file a police report if asked by the bank, and I said yes. I will recieve a fraud or claim form about the $69 charge in a few days. I hope this helps. I took my computer to a specialist who removed the damage, and he said that what I described had been going on for a while and they have had a hard time shutting them down.

The same thing happened to me...how do these criminals have access to our personal bank account numbers. What's so strange is that my coworker who sits directly across from me has the same issue...same thing happened to her. the opnly difference is I never got any kind of spam/spyware/virus type messages or pop ups and what not...this just appeared on my statement. I am calling my bank and I am going to show them this long list of consumer complaints. Just like we are responsiible for using common sense when getting junk from illegal/bogus companies/persons trying to claim you won a lottery or something, the bank should have some sort of practice they have to follow to keep from paying out of our accounts to idiots like this.

It happened to my computer almost exact like your situation and in about similar dates. I had to reinstall the windows from scratch with losing everything. I now use AVG anti-virus software (free). I'm still find a way to get a credit from my bank.

I had my credit card bill in the post this morning and found 3 transactions totalling over £200 that I had no idea about. All 3 were from ECMN software with this telephone number and when I tried ringing it, there was silence. I have also just cancelled my account.

The same thing happened to me.  I have reported it to my credit card company as a scam and a fraud.  I have been unable to reach ECMN at the number provided by the credit card company.

Jerks just got 69.00 from me as well.  Wife says the new antivirus that I put on is screwing the comp up and that I did not have anough coverage.  To get her off my back I purchased the software to rid the comp of the virus.  Then found out it was fraud.  I then Cancelled the card that day and they were able to process 5 days after it was cancelled.  Still on phone with MC.  Can they keep processing anytime they want or what.

The same things happened to me at the beginning of February (wow, right at tax time, none the less). I never recieved a call from this number, but this is the number that showed up on my debit/credit card statement. I also "bought" this "virus" unintentionally. I am very upset about this. When I called my card services number, they told me that my money will be deposited on my card March 11. Well, that day has come and gone. When I called them back this evening, they told me that the only way to get my money back is to contact their fraud dept. Also, the manager that I talked to told me that these same people tried to get another $69.90 from my card. Lucky me, I pulled my money off my card in time before they could get more from me. I would advise EVERYONE to either cancel their cards or PULL ANY MONEY OUT OF THAT ACCOUNT, so that they can't get more money out of you. Hopefully, with all of these reports and claims being filed, they will nail these overseas (you know what). Does anyone know how we can report them to the Attorney General or Better Business Bureau? Maybe this is the way to go also.

Same happened to my son...the second debit was for $69.90 to 1-mas2009.com RIGA LVA (Latvia)

You may need a dispute form but dispute both and all payments. The attack on your computer was an act of fruad ( they broke your computer on purpose). Its up to VISA and the rest of them to manage overseas and international VISA / Mastercard more tightly and not allow anybody to have access to your money. Complain and keep complaining.

These people are using the free virus scan offered by TrendMicro (housecalls) to bill our accounts. They charged my account 99.90 twice in two weeks. I reported this to my bank, canceled my card. Bank of America fraud department is filing charges against this company. Please NOTIFY your bank or credit card company fraud department.

I also received a charge for ECMN-software last month but for 70.46.  I changed my credit card number but they were able to add another charge just before the change took place for another 70.46 under the name of againstspy.net and there is no phone number to reach them.  I am trying to work with my bank to dispute at least the last charge.
