Nooooo! Do not give out your credit card number to anyone unless you are making a purchase!!!

The claim that this is to check that you are 18 is FALSE, because you could very easily just put in someone else's credit card number. Also, why else would that show up on your statement? If they're not charging you for anything, they have no reason to tell you their number is on there.

I just went to ECHST.net and it says,
"The charge(s) you see appearing as "1-866-452-5108 ECHST.net" or "1-866-452-5108 Ezcamhost.net" are for your online cam site subscription service that you have subscribed to with your credit card."

Therefore, you must be missing the fine print somewhere saying that you'll be charged (sometimes this can be very, very fine print!)

Do not fall into a scam, please do not give out your credit card number unless you intend on purchasing something. And from there, if you purchase something, make sure you're not accidently signing up for a monthly subscription (unless that's what you want) since they'll automatically charge you each month "

Somehow MSN didn't pick these people up as junk mail and I received a note from them stating the same as above:

I thought "what the heck is this?" so I clicked on the link...it leads to a pornographic spy cam website thing...youpornmate.com. I checked into it further and they bill on behalf of tons of pornographic sites.
The weird part is that they somehow got my e-mail addy,that it slipped past the hotmail junk box and into my in-box,and told me that my account had been activated because they had received thier payment!???!!
Now I'm scouring all bank and credit card statements for this number.
I clicked on the one link and it says that my account is registered to a construction company in Kearney Nebraska...I live in Canada!!!
Also,the day that they claim I made that account...I was camping...nowhere near a computer or phone...go figure.
I think maybe it's just a phishing technique,because they didn't show on this on-line statement my bank/credit card number,or anything like that.
I have no idea why they call though...I just don't answer.

with all due respect it looks like a area code and a phone number.honestly all i want to know is how this whatever screwed n me out of hundred dollars. Am i on the sight to find out anything. I have never owned a computer i havedhad this for,any 6 weeks i can barely navigate through any of this.Idont even know if this is costing me money,any suggestion

checked my online statement and this showed up apparently my now ex husband bought himself a computer with a webcam and decided to delve into cybersex.  He maxed out the credit card and now I hope he is homeless cos I kicked him out.

I just got a bill from them on my statement also. Called and its a sex web cam service. I know I never signed up for a service like that so I will be reporting it to the bank.

Even I got this in my ICICI credit card statement although I dint use this service (ECHST.NET)... They are charging every month... I have blocked my credit card and requested a dispute. This looks like some sort of scam.

I was billed by the same company in question. I'd recently made some purchases online for a paranormal investigation group I'm a part of out here in Colorado, and within the last week or so this "company" has popped up on my bank account. It would seem as if all of my information got phished by someone affiliated with this company. Nonetheless, I had them block any further transactions off of their site, and I've reported this to my bank.

I got my charges after talking with someone at expedia.

just checked my statement £140 in 3 seperate transactions has been taken out of my account with the same details on as above.  Hope bank will sort out and give me the money back but looks like someone is getting off at my expense

I had the same problem thru streamate.com using my debit card for gold to a performer an i contacted streamate customers service an there money hungry i wanted to give performer $ 5.00 an echst.net billed my debit card charging it $ 3.00 an now i would have to wait til 30 days later to resolve an get the $ 3.00 back onto the debit card

I didnt give them any credit acrd numbers they gave me theirs do i have to pay something

This company belonging to the phone number is toatally out of control. I sent an email message to them asking how to get a hold of their customer service center that I wanted to talk to some one a possible fraud charges on my credit card. I received the information in a very timely manner. I called to talk to customer service, when I told the lady, of which they will not give out a name or id number, That I wanted to talk about  possible fraud charges on my credit card, she asked for my last 4 of the card. When I gave them to her she automaticly enter a fraud complaint investigation for me. I said I wanted to talk about the charges and I had not aske for a fraud investigation at that time. Her response was well I have done it and it can't be changed. I asked to speak with her supervisor and she said no. I ask why I could not talk to him and her response was " because I said so." I again asked to speak to her supervisor and her respons was no I asked why not, and she reaponded "because I said so, no one can change what I have done so you cannot talk to my supervisor." This company has a very poor customer support center personnel if this lady is the type of people they employ.
