They've been calling us for over a year, multiple times a day. We don't answer the phone, & we don't call them back. You'd think they'd give up after a month or two, or even three, but a whole year.

They will also show up as Unknown Caller or Private Caller. That's just the list from our call log for the past 2 weeks. They've used each number & both Unknown Caller & Private Caller 2 or 3 times. Most of the time, they don't even leave a message. If it was really so important, they'd leave a message every time, stating their company name, why they're calling & WHO they're calling for. They almost NEVER state any of that.

They've been calling us for about a year, too. Until you answer their call & make an arrangement with them, the can legally call you as many times a day as they choose, so long as it is between 8am & 8pm. They have a term of seven years that they are allowed to chase after you for the money you owe. Buckle up. This is only the beginning, unfortunately.

You don't know anyones story, nor do u know their life and what they are dealing with. Y don't u shut up n help someone if ur gnna say sumthng like that. I don't know y u think ur obligated to say [***] like that.

I received a call yesterday, 14 sep 2011, he told me that he calling from Metropolitan Credit Adjusters and his name is Imran Khan, he spoke in english and hindi/urdu. He told me that u have $800 pending to ROGERS, he knows my name and adress, I don`t know where he get from. I called to ROGERS they have any abount due to pay. Please check who is the person unwanted calling to me.

I received a call from 866-463-9616 in the last couple of days and the message left was that I was to call re someone's account.  Of course, I ignore the call.  Metropolitan?  Who is this.  I have been receiving other calls...all to people who do not exist.  I already filed complaints with CRTC, and I have saved messages so prove harrassment.  They are calling a wrong number and are rude, and harrassing.  Ignore them.

These people have been calling us every day twice and three times a day for a Lisa Hancock!!  This has to stop!!! There is nobody her by that name!!

Actually, in the Province of Ontario it is two years not seven.

these [***] call me none stop all day long everyday! The number is 1 866 463-9161. I have no debts so why and how would they get my number!

You can pay most companies you owe the debt to directly, if you possess the account #.
You do NOT need to pay the debt collectors in order to pay off your debt.

I, on the other hand, tried to pay off an old debt directly, but the company said they don't hold the debt anymore and have forwarded it to a collection agency.
I have decided to let the debt sit under my credit for the next five years. I have no plans to get any credit in the near future, and already own everything I need under my husbands name.
I refuse to pay a collection agency....ever

this company isn really but company, i paident evrit moths for mother the 6 motns this is my last moth and icant not paid because i have situacion, this agent is very rude his name is Ball Salim, hi Hu the phone on me for more the 3 times, assk to speek with his manager Mike Nelson and hi dont want to transfer me the call, CB Mike and hi never anwser my call, there are words companny..........Dont paydent there try to intimidate me. dont let them do????

I got a call from them today and while I know I owe Rogers, I think, I'm in the process of trying to pay off everything from my dad's funeral so I havent had time to focus on any other accounts. They left a message saying it was an important call for me (They didn't even have my full name so I can probably just ignore it) and it was regarding making a decision for the account there and that if I didn't call back, they'd make a decision for me.
At first I was worried but after reading through some of these I realize that it was just a scare tactic that almost worked. Now I'm not worried seeing its just a debt collector and all they can really do is call me.

I had the same call coming from that phone 866-463-9161 saying that it was urgent, I am glad I read that cause now I know it is some kind of scam. They didn't use my full name either, like she didn't know. I am very surprised cause I pay all my bills on time. I am already getting copies of all my receipts to prove I pay my bills on time in case they try to tell me something otherwise. They say they are from Metropolitan Adjusters Collectors and it is a private number, they probably know people are blocking them. Very sad! And thanks to this thread I won't be returning their calls.

Have received threatening phone calls from this company looking for someone with the same last name but not me - have returned calls explaining in a kindly manner they had the WRONG number, in the last couple of days Alexis Donald has called and saying since I haven't called back you has no choice but to file a claim against me - when I finally reached this person and told her I was annoyed but the annoying and threatening phone calls gave her my number - she hung up on me - I called back very angry that she had hung up - but line busy so left a message asking her to return call - she DID NOT so I called the number a couple of more times and when she answer I hung up on her - finally she called back yelling at me for calling and hanging up - never once did this person apologize for being annoying and wrong she just once again threatened me - with going to management!!!!  how can they can away with this crap!

I got a call from someone earlier saying I owe my old phone company money, I said I know I did but I haven't been able to pay any money since i be been evicted and have no money till the 8th of may and I could do a payment then, even after explaining I couldn't pay off the hole sum which is more then I make a month he still said I have to make a payment by the end of the month or else my file will be sent to small claims court? He wants a payment also more then I make in a month, even after I said I'm willing to nigotiate on a payment plan but wouldn't set anything up unless I gave a minimal payment of 300 , what do I do I seriously don't have any money and I'm starting to worry, my mom said its a scare tactic and not to worry but my Fido account has been canceled anf I was sent the bill already, and I was waiting for a call from the collections to work something out but I've never been threatened with court before, I'm really startingnto worry

Wow! got an email from a collector agency?! These parasites will quit at nothing. They obviously had the wrong email and name on it... Still, I have to deal with this [***] on my new phone number too for other peoples name who had my new number back in the 90's!!!
