I connected with a woman who then proceeded to ask me to submit personal information as a way to verify my identity under "federal privacy guidelines" to allow them to speak to me about an account. I told her I just need to know what this call was referring to before I can answer any questions. She became very flustered and told me to call her back when I was ready to talk and ended with a very rude "Thank you very much!" and hung up on me.

Got a call from this number and I totally think it's fishing for Identity Theft!
It was an autodial because it was a computer generated "Hello" and then there was pause followed by a breathless woman (American without any kind of regional accent). She asked if I was (my name here) and I said yes. She then said "Oh, GOOD! I'm so glad I got you!" Like she's doing me a favor by calling me. "I have an urgent, personal financial matter that just came across my desk. I need to verify a few details..." I asked where she was from and she said the same "urgent matter" line but refused to give the name of the company. Then we had a few minutes of back and forth with her trying to get me to fill in the blanks (she had a LOT of my information!!) and me not giving her anything. She got more and more agitated, until I finally said, "How about you give me a phone number and I call you back so I can tell that this is a legitimate call" to which she replied, "But I already have all your personal information. I just need you to verify -" "No, I'm sorry, I won't give out anything until -" and then she got really huffy "That's okay. I'll just keep calling you then."
And she hung up.
We don't have any outstanding debt except for a mortgage (not even cars.. nothing!)
So if you get a call from this number, be careful!!!!!!!!

Just received a call from this number. The caller left a voicemail - sounded like a young woman. The message must have been cut off somehow, because all that was recorded was the woman saying " ..866-467-4907, thank you"

Keep calling here. No one there but recording. Switched to another number and it rings forever with no answer.  If it comes on my answering machine, Same thing and switched to another tele. and rings forever.
I know I don't owe anyone any money.

This number seems to pop up every once in a while.  There are "legit" debt collectors named ACA, none of whom use this number.  Be very careful with what personal information you give them, there are posts on other sites saying they are likely identity thieves.

Paid the medical bill and they continue to call. I've called my insurance and the hospital responsible multiple times. They need to go away. SCAM.

I got a call from this number and it said to call them back at that number and when I did it asked me for my card number.

Company left a message for my Manager alleging I have a case filed against me. The Caller name was Mark Maxwell, provided the number 866-467-5931 stating they received a case in there office against. Stated that I have officially been served and I have one opportunity to call them back or they will proceed. The person name was Mark Maxwell. The first two times I called the number the call kept hanging up. I final got a voice and the Person stated the company was Capital Harris Miller & Associates. I was transferred to a Denis I informed him that they violate the FDCPA and I formal request they STOP contacting my place of employment. Denis stated it wasn't them it was the "Locator" So I asked for the "Locator information he stated he doesn't know who they are. I then formally request they send me notification of the debt in writing however I was advised by Denis " he don't do that, that's the what the locator do" I requested the locator information so that I may obtain the written notice and he stated He don't handle that part. I asked Denis how are you alleging I have a debt but not able to provide me with the contact information for this "Locator" so that they can serve me with official documents and I can go before the judge. Denis stated I don't have that information I'm just want to help you.  Well help me with obtain written notice of this alleged debt I created. I stated I need this information in  writing so that I may take care of it. He stated it was an On-line Payday loan. I told him I never took out an on-line Payday loan with the company Hydra Financial.  I kept pressuring and requesting not be contact at my job and Denis hung up on me. I tried to call back but of course no one is answering. How can I stop these folks from contacting my Job. This isn't right, each time they are reaching a different person. There has to be some legal action that can be taken.

Legally they can't reveal the matter of the call until they have verification they are speaking to the correct party would u want someone with your same or similar name knowing you have med debt? Just letting u know the law

call today 8:15 pm ,  my ans machine  picked up and then  it forward and kept ringing for a while, until   picked up the phone ,  press talk, press off ,  that's it

(866)467-4907 called me at ~10:00AM 10/22/2014 . I answered and was at first greeted with silence, at which point I nearly hung up - then: "HELLO." (a creepy, computer generated-sounding female voice). Immediately following the HELLO the line seemed to xfer and began ringing. and ringing. and ringing. I had time to waste so I allowed it to ring, probably about 30 times, before *someone* picked up or in some way manipulated the call causing it to end. It was a very brief pause and I thought I heard breathing- about 1 or 2 seconds, then some sort of beep was heard as the call ended. Very strange so I googled and found many "scam" posts on sites like these, along with a business out of NYC that seems to have a good rating with bbb (Rooters Plumbing & Locksmith Svc's or something like that). I'm pretty determined to stop whoever this is now.

I've had seiveral callls to my landliñe number and my cellphone. It was the same sequence of enventsvas the others have reportend. I signed a Consumers Union petition just today encouraging FCC to keep this iłegal, at least calls to cell phones. Note, keep it ileagal. Seriously, I read the complaints on this site (above) and note this has been going on for years. Has anything been done? Can anything be done?l

This number calls often. Usually if I answer there is nobody there, so typically I don't. I had a message from them saying they were a a-debt collector and to call back. The message was left by a young woman.  I called it back and did get an answer (it sounded like the same person answered). I was asked to verify information about myself such as address and name and phone number. Then I was asked to verify information about my child. That's when I stopped. I asked them to tell me what they were calling about and they wouldn't stating HIPPA as the reason. I was told I could be anyone calling them back to  which I responded they could be anyone asking me for personal info about my children. She agreed and still refused to give me any information about who or what they were or calling about. I refused to answer any info and ended the call. Seems pretty shady to me.
