- Zelda F.On 4/11/15 I received a call from this number. It left an automated voice message stating that it was a credit card fraud service and there was a hold on my account and to call them immediately. So I called this number back and another automated message instructed me to "enter my credit card number". Hahaha!. ITS A SCAM!!!! BEWARE!
- MI received a voice mail message from this number and it was someone that sounded exactly like me saying, "hello?", "hello?". I think they called before and recorded me and used it as a playback message!

- Michelle| 1 replyThey are supposedly a debt collection agency but seem to have very old information. ACA is a medical debt collection agency which I don't owe any of. Have never not paid a medical bill. They would not give any information at all regarding who was owed or how much but wanted me to give them part of my SSN. I would not. I told them to mail me a bill which they have not. Be careful, they are listed other places as a spam call. Also, they won't tell you what you owe or to whom. Very suspicious.

No debt validation, no debt. It's that simple.
Ask the caller for his or her name, company, street address, telephone number, and professional license number. Many states require debt collectors to be licensed. Check the information the caller provides you with your state officials, or the state in which the debt collector holds a license. If the caller refuses or is unable to provide you with information about his company, or if you can’t verify the information he provides, do not give money to the caller or company.
Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." This notice must include:
The amount of the debt
The name of the creditor you owe
A description of certain rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, consider requesting this information in writing or seeking assistance before paying the debt to make sure the debt, and the company, are valid.
Tip: You can consider sending the collector a letter requesting the information by using one of the CFPB's sample letters. You can also submit a complaint to the CFPB or you can contact your state Attorney General’s office.
Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate – but you think the collector may not be – contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
Report the call. Submit a complaint with the CFPB or get in touch with your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers.
Stop speaking with the caller. If nothing else works and you believe the calls are fraudulent, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files.
Tip: You can use this sample letter to write a letter demanding the debt collector stop contacting you. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
Tip: If you're having trouble with debt collection, you can submit a complaint with the CFPB online or by calling (855) 411-CFPB (2372).

- TeresaI called back and it is ACA Debt Collectors looking for my college son. I told them I have a feeling it is his father stealing his identity again which is true. I texted my son to call me since this place cannot legally tell me anything other than it is my son's middle initial and not his father's. Both my son and I had our Identities stolen, I lost 30,000.00 and I managed to get my son's fixed or so I thought. I told this woman he has no debts because all he has are student loans and he is still in school, in the middle of a background check for police officer. I'm going to have my son call them to find out all the info he can. I would LOVE to find out his father is at it again. I already got him 2 years in State prison the first time, I'll do it again no problem! There is also a plumbing place in Brooklyn, NY attached to this number. My guess is they use that so when we look up the number it comes up to that plumbing company and if you call you get the debt collector who records what number you called from and then knows you are who they want.

- b| 2 repliesthey are a legitimate collection company. if you get a call, answer it. or not. you already have gone to collections, so what good is credit, right?
- Heinz57 replies to bSo you know the number who called you but came to a website that helps people identify unknown callers and complain about scammers, to talk about this legitimate company and credit/collections. That seems a little odd. What is their legal name and address... SHILL?
- MJG replies to bBUT-- you didn't mention the official company name and physical address - so until we know that - SHILL ALERT!!
