Gordon King has been calling me for the last 2 wks - do not know what he wants. Anyone know of an address so I send off a letter to these people?

Philip Wallace Called my elderly (83+ years) mother and told her there was "bad news" about "the case." No further explanation. Said he only had 10 minutes to make a "decision." Then left his phone number 866 471 7100 EXTENSION 3233- Apparently looking for another person with same last name?

caller ID was unknown out of state ID - Mom has apparently been getting calls with this ID at all hours of the day and night for several weeks.  The man extracted information about other family members including MINOR children... (teenage girls)...

I called Federal law enforcement (FBI) the next morning and discussed the situation. I was told by "{The acting O.D. Officer)" that this sounds like a familiar number and MO and said it was good I called.  

The company which apparently has one A.K.A. of C.T.I. for "Collections Training Institute" is a quasi-collection agency AND telemarketer. When question via phone and in person directly no employee would be clear as to the exact nature of the business. Hiding behind the disguise of an institute of learning... Yea OK, that's a new one.

BTW don't use reverse lookup scams- just Put ANY phone number right into any web search engine- it's free if there is any public info and there's usually much...

According to MANY web postings from others, once they (from this number) have reached people they will continue to call and sell and harass at all hours of the day and night.

Myself "I'm a total and COMPLETE pacifist"... I'll just watch the Feds do their jobs here- they are very competent with this type of thing, and very willing to help... get in touch with them here:

In July 27, CTI representative called my family members, my inlaws and my husband regarding my account, adviced them that legal action may follow if I did not respond, and possibly my husband would be held liable! We'll it was an awful mess after that...they kept calling and I finally called them back stating they were not to contact my family members again. the CTI rep demanded payment in full no later than 1PM on July 30, when it was not made, demanded payment by July 31st 2007 otherwise legal action would follow. I asked them for a letter of debt validation, she said they had already sent one?? I stated it was never recieved, and requested another one, but she was not able to do that and demaned payment on the deadline date or it would be transfered to their legal department. I called on the deadline date, 45 minutes past the deadline and offered a credit card check payment to add the debt onto my other debt card; CTI refused because it was past the deadline. She stated "good-luck" and hanged up on me. Hadn't heard anything from them again, until now, CTI has started calling members again. Once again I requested they not contact any family members. Once again I requested a debt validation letter, CTI rep stated he'd look into it. Acted suprised that non had been recieved, repeated my address. Once again I requested they no longer contact my family members and the CTI rep guy stated they don't do that???? His name was TOM at Extention #8990 at phone number (866)471-7100

Send them a cease communication letter VIA certified mail with return receipt requested. In the meantime, stay OFF the phone with them!

A "Mr Scott", called to speak to my minor son about an undisclosed matter. He asked that my son call him immediately, or to call by no later than the next monday.(call recieved on saturday) The call sounded urgent, but no explanation was given. It sounded like trouble, and I told my son it sounded like a collection agency. I tried to find information about the company, because I don't like unknown people calling for my minor children, but nothing is available. The message was left on my answering machine, and the ID was "CTI inc.". The phone number was 773-265-2600, but "Mr. Scott" left his number as 1-866-471-7100, ext 8976. If anyone has any info on these folks please let me know.

I got the same call today from CTI for a family member. They said it was a financial matter but would not elaborate on what it was and they refused to talk any further about it. I was given the number 1-866-471-7100 to return the call.

i was working with another CTI inc which is a legit student loan collector but i had fell behind in my payments so when i got a call from this other CTI i didnt think twice about about it. i even apologized for falling behind and asked them if the other rep i was dealing with still worked there but the rep didnt seem to know what i was talking about.

when he was talked he muffled alot and when i asked him specifically was this for my student loan he said yea. then he procedded to read from what seemed to be a scrpt but instead of the student loan he said another company so i asked him again what the call was for.

i did set p payments and gave him my bank info and thought everything was cool but the next day the real CTI inc called and then i started to worry he said very sincerely that he didnt speak to me and hadnt heard of any William Fox and didnt know why i would have worked with him when he had been working with me for months i told him i thought he didnt work there. so i went back and forth between the two companies and worked it all out.

so  on tuesday i saw that the fake CTI had taken out twice the amount we agreed upon . when i called they said they would refund me half the amount and my OD charges but have yet to do so . i asked to speak with a manager MS Crosby who did apologize and told me to fax in proof of the error which i did but still no actionb . i will keep yall updated

ps when they called the number that came up was a 773 illinois area code

I got a call from a man named "Scott" saying he was calling about a credit card that I owed money on and that I needed to give him my bank account information and take care of this debt within 30 minutes or there would be nothing I could do about it.  He quoted me 2 different amounts on the phone of what I owed and when I caught him and asked him about it he sort of mumbled and stumbled around his words.  He wouldn't tell me his last name or the name of the company he was calling from, just kept saying "my company".  He repeatedly asked me for my account information and claimed he would only keep me on the phone for 2 or 3 minutes if I would just give him my account info.  when I told him no and that I was going to talk to my husband about it he seemed to get nervous and told me that I didn't need to do that and that I should just make the decisions on my own and not involve my husband.  He called at 9:25pm and then again at almost 11pm.  When he realized that I would not give up my info he got frustrated and told me I was making a big mistake and that he would "be around" for 30 minutes if I changed my mind.  He also said that first thing tomorrow morning he would take further action and that I needed to take care of this within 30 minutes.  I found it really strange that he repeatedly asked for my personal info and that he kept giving me that time frame of 30 minutes.  And I also knew it was fraud because the account he was asking about had already been taken care of and was paid months ago.  Look out people, these people are crazy!

Got a call from a man named "scott" that repeatedly asked for my bank account information or credit card numbers to clear up a debt, however he wouldn't give me any details of the debt or what the matter was about.  he then told me that I had about 20 minutes to give him the info or further action would be taken.  he called 2 times, the 2nd time i didn't answer.

this is an illegal fraud company. They only try to scam u out of account numbers and then rip you off. Please report any call you get from 773-265-2600 or any one asking you for info and ask you to call 866 471 7100 please contact the FBI asap. http://www.fbi.gov/contact/fo/fo.htm (hope i typed the right address)  Thanks for your help.

Just received a phonw call from a Mario Gowens stating that this was an urgent matter.  Number called from was 773-265-2600 he also gave me another number 866-421-7100 ext. 3974.  Is this a real company???

Someone named Terri Morgan at 866-471-7100 ext.3953 left an urgent message for me.
First clue was that she mis-pronounced my name - which is totally a normal name - so I knew there was something up.  
When I returned the call, she asked for my name - nothing came up. - then my phone number - nothing came up.  (And then she argued with me about giving her a phone number that wasn't right - I mean, lady - YOU CALLED ME!) and then she asked for my social security number - you HAVE to be kidding me.
They said they were doing collections for Citibank.  
Guess what?  I don't have ANY accounts with Citibank.  Thank you and goodnight.

The name was Matt Williams its been about 2 weeks now that he's been tryin to reach me and when i got home my grandma told me the same guy who been tryin to reach me for the past weeks called and left a message saying O we cant talk or speak anything with you i must speak to him now or something about the federal blah blah blah rude guy Matt Williams Ext. 3264 i got nervous at first but i thank God i seen this forum of you people saying the things he's been telling me im calling FBI on monday seriously ya take care now feel free to reply....

Well, this has been interesting reading given my experience with these same people.  They woman who called refused to identify herself.  She said she was collecting for a man named "Scott" in Illinois that I owed money to!  I don't know anyone in Illinois - nor do I owe money to anyone in Illinois.  She was told not to call again - but they do.  We don't answer the phone when the id shows up.

"Miss Morris" called and said I HAD to call today. She didn't identify what company she was with. If I don't know who I'm calling, why would I call and discuss personal confidential information? This could be anyone!

Got a call today from CTI, a Mrs. Wintergreen @ 1-866-471-1700, Ext. 3827, asking me to call her back as soon as I got the message.  I decided to check through Google to see who this number belonged to.  Won't be calling back.
