- MaggieI got home from work and there was a message on my home phone from 866-481-2385. The caller was speaking so fast I could not understand her name nor the business name. She said "if you do not hang up in 3 seconds, we assume we have reached the correct party". How stupid to say that to an automatic asnwering machine. We do not have our system set up with our personal voice messages, just an automated message. We are not familiar with this company nor do we have any credit cards at all that are delinquent or in collections. Are these people just idiots? I did reverse lookup on the # and found this website. They are idiots.

- cindyThis number has called my cell phone dozens of times trying to speak with Gwendolyn regarding a past due account. I promptly informed the caller that she no longer had the phone number they were calling as it had been assigned to me upon the purchase of my cell phone service. Nonetheless, as 866-481-2385 continues to call me seven days a week without fail. PAY YOUR BILL GWEN!!!!!
- UghCollection Agencies
Are you behind or late on your debt obligations? Medical emergencies, loss of employment, unexpected changes in income or expenses, or living beyond our means can cause financial distress. Inevitably, when bills go unpaid, debt collectors come calling. When they do, you should know what is considered acceptable collection conduct.
The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act requires that debt collectors treat those who have failed to repay their creditors in a fair manner. It prohibits abusive debt collection practices. The following debt collection practices are among those that are prohibited.
Debt Collectors may NOT:
*harass, oppress, abuse, or use threats of harm toward you or any third parties they contact;
*publish a list of consumers who refuse to pay their debts;
*Use obscene language or repeatedly use the telephone to annoy someone;
*Take or threaten to take your property unless this can be done legally.
They are also restricted in the statements they can make to debtors. They may NOT tell you that:
*you will be arrested if you do not pay your debt;
*they will seize, garnish, attach or sell your property or wages, unless the collection agency or creditor intends to do so and it is legal to do so;
*they will take actions, such as a lawsuit against you, when such action legally may not be taken, or when they do not intend to do so.
Finally, debt collectors may NOT:
*give false credit information about you to anyone;
*send you anything that looks like an official document from a court or government agency when it is not;
*use a false name.
A debt collector IS permitted to contact you in person, by mail, phone, telegram or fax. However, he or she may not contact you at inconvenient times or places (such as before 8 am or after 9 pm) unless you agree. They may not contact your place of work if the collector knows that your employer disapproves of such contacts. You should inform the collector accordingly, in writing, to cease such actions. Keep in mind that this does not resolve the debt

- WTF!! STOP CALLING!!These people call me, literally, 12-15 times per day and will not leave a message and when I do answer it, they either hang up on me or I just get dead air. Believe they are another company calling for WalMart card, even though I've already worked out payments with another collection company, who also does this same crap, and also took my first payment then turned me back over to WalMart and cancelled our agreement without my knowledge. Sounds like a big scam to acquire your personal information.

- Bud| 1 replyCall from this number in my case is collections from Bank of America credit card that is painfully behind. They refuse to take NO as an answer to their demand of a post-dated check to the point that I have had to hang up on them.
I explain to them that I'm awaiting pay from jobs I've completed but the companies don't have the money to pay me just yet, they treat me like I'm a deadbeat.- Call type: Debt collector
- Mo replies to BudDon't take the call personally. Pay what you can when you can and let the chips fall as they may.
- Shreveport BusinessThese knuckleheads keep faxing my company, not realizing it's a fax #. It's annoying as hell, and I wish someone could stop it.

- MimiThey claimed the company name is something like "Pickrel Assoc." They have called my house 3 times asking for my 84 year old mother & when I asked what kind of company this was, she replied, "I can't give out that information". I have since blocked the number from my phone.

- Sharing65I do not answer these calls. These call every day 3-4 times a day or more within 10 mins sometimes. How about answering the phone with your local police department ie, Hello, Dallas Police Department and see if they call back again. I am about to use my own police department name and see what happens.
- M & S OsbornA company called, said they were Pencro, today, Sunday. Said they represented my credit union, wanted personal info. I refused to give it, told them I didn't believe they were from my CU. I hung up. Looked their tel number up & found this site, complaints. I called their number back & in no uncertain terms let them know that I knew they were lying scam artists and crooks & that I planned to report them to TX Better Business, I'm on a Do Not Call list & if they call again I would sue their lying, scamming [***]. He said he'd remove my number. We'll see, if they don't I will pursue legal action against them. Sick of crooks.
