These scamming "fundraisers" are said to keep 85-90 cents of every dollar they raise.

Just got identical call and told him we all know this is a scam.  He didn't even deny it

must be careful they are not only calling from this 866 number, They also are calling from 615-610-1541, soliciting funds for National Police Support Fund. I quickly let them know that the number they called is a business number and that they need to stop calling. I also told them that I am pretty sure it is scam, when I said that I was transferred to a supervisor. Be careful...donate to your local police if you want to donate!!!

I got the call from "out of area", and got the same message as craig, great job capturing the message.  When i asked it was a real person i was listening to, it sounded like the computer stop then gave me programed response and told me i could talk to a supervisor or get a toll free number. They gave me this number 866-487-4515, although  all i wanted to know was if it was a recording or a real person.  I decided it was a extremely well programmed computer giving me the sales pitch above and clearly will not call the toll free number. I have gotten calls from "police support" and "support officer" always from a different phone number.  Seems these folks are very well organized scam artists.  Thanks craig for the outstanding research on these bums!!

I received a call from Out of area 251 494 6372
It was the same message but sounded like a real person since I kept asking questions
I told him we only donated locally
That was a local phone number they had used
I asked what the number was to talk to the foundation
He said goodbye thank you for your time so I asked again
He gave me the number 866 487 4515
I said okay I'll call them
Then it was just a pause
They didn't hang up but I did

received a call from 215-782-9003 that also referenced 866-487-4515.  I am adding these numbers to beb blocked in the future.   thank you for the supporting comments

Just got this call but showed up as this number V10821394110214.

Was given this number to contact after (260)2396601 Kenneth called me.
Was handed over to a supervisor after I asked "Will my charitalble donation go to less leeway and more oversight over police departments."

The supervisor informed me, it ws basically a bot speaking originally.
So i posed the question to him. He gave me the number we all have, 8664874515 to find the breakdown of how donations are split.
I then asked him the exact number of officer casualties as the bot relayed.
He said he was not sure of that.

Ended with "take care!'

I received a call from 661-903-8080 with the same message that has been listed in the other comments. They asked if they could count on my donation. I told them I won't give my information over the phone so they said they'd send me something that I could mail the donation. They then transferred me to the verification department. The person there wanted my credit card information for my donation. Again, I said I'm not giving that information over the phone. I asked how they got my number and they weren't able to answer. They said I could call 866-487-4515 for more information. I didn't call though because I knew this was a scam.

Recieved call from local spoofed number.  Caller joked about the lag time (dialer connect vs my multilple hellos) advised they were fundraising for the same police blah blah below.  I asked about a tax ID number for my writeoff purposes.  He claimed to not know and put me on with a supervisor who also didn't know.  Asked about percentage that actually goes to the charity vs their 3rd party fundraising and he also could not answer.  Said all my question could be answered by calling, 8664874515.  Lady answers as police association fundraisers blah blah blah.  I ask her the same 2 questions and she says she doesn't know that she can have corporate call me back.  Nope. Don't bother.  You are a scam and nobody has answers.

They called from an area code that matched my phone number. Made it appear local. When I said  I would donate they transferred me to someone else. When I asked her for a number to call back to verify legitimacy before providing my credit card information they gave me this 866 number.

My call came in on 870-551-3674 - A Kenneth Allen introduced him self after giving me a funny line like - you are as hard to get a hold of as ....something I didn't understand. I told him just send me a blank donation form I would decide. He said now we can do a lower amount how about 15-I said ok.  He said are you sure you are ok with 15 I said sure. (knowing I was not commiting) Great he continued I will turn you over  to our donations dept. When I was connected I asked that gal for a number where I could verify who was actually calling and she gave me 866-421-4515. Scam.

I just got the same call but from 845-592-7167,V02812485422918  sounded as if a recording, only answering if I said "no" to donating certain amounts, Kenneth Allen spoke so fast, I would not be able to write what he said. something of National Police Support fund wanting donations.

Second call Ive gotten from them today about police fund raising !!  I asked where he was located,  Alx, Virginia.  I asked why he was calling me on a spoofed local cell phone number, he didnt know but wanted a donation. I said possible, so he trasnsferd me to another person that wanted money, so I asked where he was and he said Ohio, and his number was 866-487-4515!!!  I asked why they are all over the nation and how much goes to the police, he couldnt give me a anser to me!!  Nothing but Scammers !!      I told him I donate localy!!   These scammers are calling me monthly !!  As bad as the Turds from India and Pakistan trying 15 times daily of trying to lower my credit card interest rate, or fake Mircrosoft, fake IRS, ETC.  Dont fall for this Scam folks!!

Called me from  local spoofed number. No response to my multiple Hellos. Then I heard "Oh there you are. I thought you were ignoring me like my wife, haha" It implied it is a charity. When I asked it said the donations were deductible. I kept asking questions including "are you human". The bot is a Voice Response Unit similar to when you call your bank. The bot said donations are deductible. I asked to many questions and got transferred to a human. He said donations are NOT deductible.
