- Fell for it| 3 repliesSCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!
I took the bait on a scratch off game that was sent in the mail. The game was “Poker Jackpot”, when I scratched off I had a winning hand. I called the number to see what I had won and I was told that someone would need to come and verify my winning card. I was also told that after I received my prize, they would like 30 minutes of my time to do a demonstration on Air Quality System. I entertained the idea because my entire family suffers from bad allergies. Well, 2 people showed up at my house. The gentleman was a sales rep and the girl was a trainee. They came 15 minutes early, usually wouldn’t have been a big deal, but I had just walked in to our house with my 3 little children. My husband got home about 5 minutes before me and he was working on supper. Since they arrived early, supper was put on hold. This was only going to be a 30 minute demo, so supper could wait a little bit. Not only did I get an Air Quality System demo, they also demoed a surface cleaner. I was completely insulted when the girl asked if the sales rep was going to start using my vacuum cleaner. When he said “yes” she walked out of my house and then came back in with a face mask. She said that she was allergic to vacuum cleaners because they push around so much dust and she’s allergic to dust. The red flag immediately came up, during the entire presentation the sales rep was using filters that was catching dust. He would then take a light and scrap the dust off in to the air, the trainee was sitting right next to him the entire time. So why all of a sudden is dust going to bother you now? 2 hours later these people were still in my house. I told them that I was not going to buy anything at that point, I needed to discuss the decision with my husband (who was already really annoyed and had completely removed himself from the presentation). The sales rep said that the prices he had to offer were only good while he was there. I then told him that I wasn’t going to do an impulse buy and that I needed to discuss our family budget with my Husband. He then said “Come on, people impulse buy all of the time. Can you really tell me that you have no idea what’s in your budget”. At this point, I’m starting to get very angry. I told him several times that I didn’t want to buy anything. The cost of the products was well over a budget that I could afford. Even if I could afford the products, I would have turned them down because of the way that he was treating me. It took me 35 minutes to get them out of my house. In all the 30 minute demo turned in to a 2 hour and 15 minute demo and I got a Chefmaster/KitchenWorthy BBQ Set that is not kitchen worthy by any means. I should have required them to show me the prize that I won when they got there, like they said on the sales call. I wonder if I would’ve received something better had I bought something. All in all, they are extremely rude and over stay their welcome!- Caller: Summit Air

- not that dumbjust got off the phone with them, they wont come out if you dont have a spouse or if the spouse isnt home, and they dont bring a prize, they say you can fill out a form or send in card as long as you send copies of homeowners docs and drivers liscense
- ScamI should of done some research before calling them. I called them then do some research and find out they are scam and when I call them back to cancel the appointment and told them that they were scam and I am not interested and told them not to come to my house, but the lady that answer the phone ask me how I know they were scam and she just didn't listen to me that I didn't want them to come to my house anymore. She wouldn't listen to me and gave me rude attitude telling me that I was rude. She was the rude one because I just told her nicely not to come anymore and she went off at me. I told her if they come I will call the cops on them. She just wouldn't listen and just hung up on me. So rude! I will call the cops if they show up and won't leave me alone. Nothing is ever free in this world. I just have to keep that in mind everyday so I don't get trick again.
- Hal| 1 replyI also received the "Jackpot Slots" scratch off game card and my wife thought we had won. So I called the 952-746-6682 number and was expecting to have them try to sell me something, but after giving them the cards they started asking if I was married. I said I didn't see how that personal information related to if my card had won and the guy said well, those are the questions they have us ask and we can't continue. Then he hung up! On the card it says "No obligation required."
I don't know that this is a scam, but just the worst marketing program I have seen in one time. I will be writing this up and sending it to the Attorney General for review. If you feel like this involves fraud or bait-and-switch then you should also post at sites like this and complain. We don't deserve to be treated this way..!

- ImTaylor| 2 repliesThis forum helps me a lot. I just got this Jackpot Slots from Environmental System with a phone number 866-484-6682. I got really excited but then this is too good to be true to win $10k without any purchasing. Then I read the little note in the bottom that's says 'you may be asked to view a Filter Air Quality System demonstration' so I thought to research first if it's a scam. Reading this forum really helps and this card is Definitely going in a THRASH.

- Eric replies to Imscared| 1 replyWhat happened? We have the $10k winning card and are deciding whether to call.
- Badge714 replies to EricPlease be aware that EVER card wins. First off, NEVER trust a scratch card that has a phone number you must call to win. Second, It's not so much of a scam as a marketing ploy. You will find that you have to get an in home demonstration of a product to be ENTERED into a draw for a prize. These scratch cards are very common in the US & Canada. They usually involve air cleaning systems, vacuum cleaners, medical products, etc. Here is an interesting read:
http://scam-detector.com/face-to-face-scams/lottery-scratch-card-winner - Ruby423| 2 repliesWe also recieved the 10k winning card that it supposedly only 1 in 1,000,000. Very obviously a scam. We get scratch off cards like this all the time. First time was when I was a fresh out of high school college student and I fell for it. I was harrassed for over a year by those people. Don't call!
- Khalid replies to ImscaredDid you got the camera ?
- Ivana Humpalot| 1 replyI received a poker scratch off in the mail with a winning hand of four of a kind with kings. I then called the number and they asked what city I lived in and if I was 18 or older and a homeowner. I wasn't a homeowner and live in an apt so I wasn't eligible. It didn't make sense on why they sent me this to my apt complex if only homeowners are eligible- I asked the guy if there was anything else I needed to be eligible and he didn't really say much--he also told me that the promotional rules were on the card--selling air quality systems.. I knew something wasn't right and wasn't going to have a stranger enter my house through a scratchoff -- no thank you
- lee replies to Hali just got one just wonted to find out if it was real its not people are out to scam people not real
- Amira replies to Ivana HumpalotI received the poker jackpot scratch card in mail and had a winning hand. I called they said I had to see an air quality testing demo. I made an appointment for tomorrow. Today I am reading up on these posts I called and to,d them to cancel my appointment (because I am going out of town...I'm not :)) the guy said ok. So I hope no one comes to my home tomorrow. I'm scared now. Thanks for your posts. It helped me.
- samantha| 2 repliesReceived the jackpot slots today and was a $10,000 winner. After reading these definitely will not be calling!!
- Carlos| 8 repliesNow first off I think all of the posts on this cite may have a pessimistic perspective to the situation. Now What if one called the number and told the man/lady, "Hey, I received one of your scratch off cards and I have a winning hand. I would be interested in buying a FilterQueen air filtration system so set me an appointment and have the Sales Representative ready to make a sell AND have my prize ready." I'm sure the person on the other side of the line would fulfill your request completey. Then ask for the demonstration first then purchase the air filter and ask for your prize at the end. Since they made a sale after all the pessimistic, uninterested time wasting visits they might have a rule that the person who does such will win the grand prize. Is there any reviews or complaints about someone buying the air filter? No. Because no one has tried it. If you think they'll take this approach as gullible then so be it. You do only live life one time. Just enjoy the hell out of the air filter and take every CLEAN breath of fresh air in your home as a breath of opportunity in which you did not let pass. I am a 16 year old boy from Texas and I don't qualify to pursue this opportunity but if you have the money on the side to spare and you qualify then I suggest you give this tactic a try and see what happens. Stay positive and enjoy the experience. Let us now what happens on this cite as well. Goodbye!
