This number calls day and night telling me i need a credit card or debit card to continue

Do not know who this is. I know no one in jail

Had to place this number on my reject list to get them stop calling me. Was calling me couple times each day. Got no family I would care to bail out anyways.

Omg! Haven't you ever written a number down wrong or had your number changed? These don't have to be from people you know if the person calling has the wrong number! They think they are calling their family not dialing your number over and over for the fun of it. It's not the company's fault, it's the inmate, whose most likely written a number down wrong. Common freaking sense doesn't exist anymore or what? Think about it. How would the company (who deals with hundreds of jails and prisons) verify that you know the person calling you? Wouldn't it be much easier and effective if they assumed that they did and dealt with it if not? Most people know who they're calling, but once in a while you do get those pesky ones who write it down wrong or type it into the phone wrong or are calling an old number. I know, I know, none of us have ever done that! We're far too perfect, maybe someone should make sure we know who were calling when we do so we never dial a wrong number and then report us to the authorities if we do. Lmao people are so overzealous!!

I got two calls from this number in the middle of the night. I came to this web site and then I went to the temate site called "www.gettingout.com". called the 866 number and went through the prompts until I could talk to someone. Told me the call was from Twin Falls County jail. I live in Twin Falls county so I called the sheriffs dept. and just like clock work my daughter was in jail.

This is not a scam!! but I don't think it is cheap.

Asking me to press 1 and then ask for a Credit card number and that the balance is 0. I think this is a scam

Received 3 calls in a row (so far) from 866-516-0115 and let them go to voice mail. The message each time was "Press star to accept this call, to deny press 2." After reading the posts about the calls coming from a jail I won't be answering that's for sure!

My husband got a call from this number on his cell phone.   He didn't answer and a voice-mail was left that said they were sorry that you are locked out of your home if you provide us with a debit or credit card we can let you back in.   Wth?

getting a call, said it was from Vantage Co. Jail in Washington.   NO SUCH JAIL !!  SCAM !!

For what it's worth, there's a Washington county, Texas too (probably a pretty common name for counties).

But this is a legit service, but I got a call from this number on my work cell (I've had it less than a week).  Don't know who called me but good luck to them!

Didn't know the number so I didn't answer. First call was at 6:53pm. Seventh call was at 11:00pm that same evening. They continued to call the next day.  I finally answered and an automated system indicated a "Chris" was trying to contact me from the county jail.  I listened to the phone options and hit #2 to NOT accept the call.  I haven't had a call back since.

This is the number for Telmate. you should only accept calls from someone you know(it should give you the name of the person calling), as it is an inmate phone service. I know it is used in Lake County, Ohio, and many other county jails. Yes, it is a ripoff, but it is a legitimate ripoff, not a scam. Just another way for the government to squeeze extra money from the families of people they jail, as the government gets over 50% of the money charged for the calls.

I do not know anyone in prison and I do not know anyone in Texas where it keeps telling me this call is coming from. I am extremely frustrated that I keep getting this phone calls and voicemails 10-15 times a day and I want it to STOP. I am not interested in answering the phone or being charged for something that I absolutely do not want to be charged for. Please make this stop immediately.

They are calling a cell phone number. I don't know any one in jail.

Just got a call from this number. I'm in California. Not sure where it originated from. Hope it's not my daughter.
