    TELUS Problem Solved
    THIS WILL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM

Call 1-866-558-2273, talk to an "agent" (say "agent" when they prompt you to speak), wait for an agent, tell them to turn off the automated reminder phone calls they make to you just before your pay and talk account expires. Tell them that their automatic text message reminders to top up your account wake you up at 4am in the morning and you'd like them to turn those auto-reminders off too. You must give them all your information (name, address, how much you have left on your account (as if you know this lol) pin number, your phone number, your birth date, the birth date of your next door neighbor's dog and the value of pi to the 100th digit) then they'll turn these auto reminders off for you.

I have Verizon (I live in the U.S.).  Got a call from this number, saying that the service in my area was going down for a while, and that I would be reimbursed for every hour that service was unavailable.

After that they asked for a lot of my personal and account information - I supplied the innocuous bits, and then during the call I received a text saying my password has been reset.  I read off a fake number and hung up.  They didn't call back.

Just to be safe, I changed my password and verified nothing had been changed.  Anyone in the United States receiving a call from them, be sure to either ignore this number or screw with them; do not give out your personal information.

Hey.  Yes it is telus i was on the phone with them. This toll free number is what they use to test voice mail and service notifications.  They uses it often to clear their messed up voice mail service.

    Very Angry
They have called me four times in the last four days.  Twice I have answered and received dead air.  They just called again so I screamed hello but still no answer so obviously not legit.  They have never left a voicemail so it can't be important.  Looking into blocking the number now.  Yes I have Telus but I don't think it's them because Telus operates like a legitimate company.  Whoever this is can kiss my you know what.

for Smartphones (Telus Mobility) go into your phone logs, select that # - touch the symbol on your mobile to the left of the 'home' button, and from the pop-up menu select "add to reject list".  It's a scam call for sure.  It isn't telus.  Telus will call you directly on your land or mobile, their ID will come up to prove they are calling you.  Or they will text you on their mobile.  There is no ID associated with this 866 number so don't give them any info.

I meant that Telus would text you on your mobile (not their mobile).

Just signed on with Telus on a new plan.  They left a message...professional, courteous and to the point, just following up on a new custer..

It may be that the same originating number is used for any number of callers, but in my case it was legit.

I use this 800notes all the time for unrecognised numbers and it's great, but there should be an option in the "Call Type" menu for legit.

This number has been calling me daily at various hours, for the past week.  I never pick up.  It's getting very inconvenient,
If it's Telus calling, I wish they'd leave me a message.

Received a landline call and a cell call in quick succession.  The voice mail asked me to punch in my access code and the voice mail seemed to be live because it didn't like the * key being punched.  Then I hung up.

Telus costumer service, gave me unlimited text messages to USA for free because my contract ends soon and i was unsatisfied. After my phone call with the agent, I re called Telus myself to make sure it was not a scam.
