This number has been calling me for months. I picked up once or twice. It was to tell me my contract was ending and they had "unbeatable" deals for me. The calls stopped a few weeks ago when I told them I was at work and to please stop calling me. I would go in on my own time. I switched to Koodo 3 days ago and they have been calling me every day since. Nope too late guys you lost me. I just blocked the number.

Checking up on what I thought about the upgrade offers they recently sent me as my contract is due to expire in a month. The voicemail said I could call them back or they would attempt calling again in the next couple days.

It's Telus customer support.  It is NOT a scam claiming to be them--it definitely is Telus customer support.

I had called Telus and was asked to be called back.  This number was used by Customer Service to call me back and they settled the problem I was having.

It’s a scam TELUS centre. I called themselves and apparently they’ve had a lot of reports of that number calling to tell people they’ve won something

Your rambling post makes little sense. Could you summarize what it is you're actually asking for help with In regards to this number?

Since you are responding "Toronto Telus User" I am guessing you are in Canada.  There are some links on this site to info about ID Theft, however, it sounds like you have a more complex problem.
There are all kinds of ID Theft.  Some of the time it is someone "impersonating" you just buy a few tanks of gas and a new TV.   You outlined as specific set of problems, and if I am reading correctly, you are in a separation fight that has ID theft tangled up with it.  And some of the billing issues are going back 12 years?

My sense of this is that you need to be clear about what are the separation issues and what is straight-up stolen/mistaken ID issues. A divorce is supposed to resolve all financial differences, and both parties have to agree on the details of that settlement.  If you are doing a legal separation, you need to find out if financial issues are addressed in the same way.

If you believe you are not responsible for phone bills (as an example), you need to be clear about who is.  Whoever you owe 12 year old payments to does not care about your problems.  They only want to be paid.  If not you, who?  Sounds like this is not a stranger who is sticking you with unpaid bills, but someone in your family. So is this ID Theft or is this a case of being screwed over?  I don't know.

You need to have the advice and expertise of counsel, and to help your advisor, do some thinking about exactly what resolution you want.

-- This site is not interactive in "real time".  You may get other responses, so you want to check back a few times to see if anyone else is posting info or ideas for you.

Doesn't leave messages. Says it is from a big phone company, ie Telus, and says account will be blocked. Luckily, I didn't call back but directly called the company. Telus, says no such info or record.
