You are an ignorant c*nt...these people are breaking the law, violating personal property and private information to neighbors, or friends of neighbors.  In an attempt to reach my daughter (who's home number can be googled or found in the white pages) the [***] called my girlfriends mother, who is 96 and they scared  the hell out of her with threats that she would be responsible for the debit if she cough up my daughters phone number.  A number she doesn't have or need seeing as they have only met twice. This is illegal and a violation of "our" civil rights in Massachusetts...punishable by fine and/or imprisonment.  So mind your business, or someone like UCB or maybe O of A stormtroopers will come for you next Sue!!

this company had the guts to call a neighbor, asking for me, we lived here 15 years and this has never happened, it is against the law to call another person asking for someone, it says it in the fair collection act, can not b done. it was united collection bureau, they must b sued and stop

Received TWO voice messages within three minutes of each other on my work phone number.  The first call was from a blocked number and the second call was from a 1419.  In both messages a woman identified herself "Danielle" at phone number 866-559-4301 ext 48756, calling for a woman named Caroline, whom I've never heard of before.  She provided a case number, but did not identify who she was with or what the issue was about, but stated she would be in until 9:00 pm Eastern.  After reading through the comments for this phone number, it appears this may have to do with collection of Macy's accounts, but I myself have never had an account with Macy's.  Needless to say, I won't be returning these phone calls.

My sister keeps getting phone calls from these people asking for me.  They keep leaving her messages saying that i need to call them back at 866-559-4301.  I don't even know how they received my information and got her telephone number.  Sounds extremely fishy to me and I'm not giving them a call!  I have my own phone and if it this was real, I would think they'd call me directly.  The message said that they're with UCB.  I'm just ignoring it.

These people are liars and maybe scam artists.  They called here for my son regarding a debt.  Problem is my son, an underage and debt free teenager,  was killed in a car accident on September 21, 1994.  I called their number back with the reference number.  They transfered me until I got a woman on the telephone.  I told her that I did not appreciate their call for my deceased son.  She tried to say that they never called me.....unfortunately for them I have their number on my caller ID and the message on my Charter voice mail.  I will be pursuing these people now.  Any mother who has had to bury a child should not have to come home from a day at work to this scam!

I did not get a call from these people.  I received a letter in the mail stating that they were collecting on behalf of "Department Stores National Bank/Visa".......who?  I'm thinking.....the bank?   One of the bailout's?  Just rack that up as bad debt and have a nice day!  I can not wait to get the call because I am taking names, business license numbers, address, physical addresses, CEO's names and everything else that they ask me including their mother's maiden name and last four of their ssn!  Get the facts on these people and put them in JAIL once they break federal law!  When they do not follow the FDCPA, they can be put in federal prision!   DO NOT BE SCARED TO TALK TO THESE PEOPLE ON THE PHONE!   Get their INFO!  Everytime they send a letter, let everyone else know!  This will force them out of business!  Find out which lawsuits have already been violated!  Know your rights!

I received a call recently. The caller ID displayed 1419 (that's all - no other information). A message was left. The message was barely audible, and the caller seemed to have a heavy female oriental and hispanic accent. I did not understand what was said, and I think I heard this phone number being mentioned. Do they expect me to call back this number when I am not even sure (due to a heavy accent) that this number is correct?

Ditto for me, except the message was left by a man, it was most clear, and instructed me to call back the number in question (8665594301). The message appears to have come from a human being (I could be wrong about this). The message also said "by continuing to listen, you acknowledge you are ??? and you should listen in private because it contained personal and private information. There was a three second pause. After that the caller identified himself as "united collection bureau" (a debt collector), and that any information obtained would be used for the purposes of collecting a debt. There was nothing personal or private about any of the message left. It seems like just another attempt at spamming, spoofing, or whatever this type of activity is being called nowadays.

To all such who make these calls simply to harass people (for whatever reasons they make these calls), I offer the following poem:

I also received a similar call, (ONLY 1419 displayed on the caller ID). When saying the beginning of the message, they said this call is for (name A). If you are not (name A), please hang up. If you are (name A) please listen for a very important message. By continuing to listen, you acknowledge you are (name B). (name B), this is an important message that contains personal and private information). There will now be a 3 second pause to enable you to listen to this message in private (the rest of the message is basically the same as what I am replying to). I wish to point out:
1. Two (2) different names were used.
2. "1419" was the ONLY display on the caller ID.

I have two questions for whoever is making these calls:

1. Do you expect an answering machine/voice mail system to hang up if the wrong number/person is being called?
2. Do you really expect anyone to call back any number left in a message when the only caller ID display is "1419"?

I did received calls that displayed only 1419 and referred to this number as a call back number. Earlier today, I received a call and 8665594301 was displayed on the caller ID device. The message left started out with "Loans from United Collection Bureau". The the disclaimer (this is an attempt to collect a debt...). Then the message said "please call me about an important business matter between 8 AM & 9 PM Monday through Friday. Thank you. Goodbye. There was no reference number (or any other information left). The only thing I know about this call is that a message was left (sounded like a non-human machine generated message) from a company named "United Collection Bureau".

I have been getting calls from this number for some time. The caller has never left a message. I recently obtained a copy of my credit report and there were several entries under credit report inquiries from United Collection Bureau. Who is the dufus, dufice, idiot, moron, (or anyother descriptive noun that applies) now?

Earlier today, I received a phone call direct from 8665594301. No message was left A very short time after this call, I received another call very similar to the one you received. Only 1419 was displayed on the caller ID device.I looked at an area code list, and 419 is the area code for the Toledo, Ohio area (northwestern Ohio area, I believe). Two things might be different between the call you received and the call I received:
1. The voice seemed to be that of a female with a heavy oriental/latin accent
2. The accent made the message unlistenable, and I basically had no idea what was said.
I am still trying to figure out how an answering machine/voice mail system can hang up a call if they are not me (as commonly stated in the beginning of the message).

I see online also that they have something to be with nigeria,and the say are scams.

Just received a recorded call stating they were our banks fraud detection unit that asked us to call this number... ya, right!
