Also received call from this number.  Called customer service number on my card instead.  Rep I spoke with said they have been receiving calls from customers regarding robo calls from the number and said it is "probably" something to update information. I made sure my info was up-to date and did not call the robo-call number.  I have noticed that some who have called the number say a birth date is requested.  If the call is legitimately from UHC and it is a survey, why is a birth date and not simply an age needed?   If the purpose is to encourage  keeping blood pressure under control why not simply say this is United Health Care calling and do a short informational spiel about the importance of knowing your blood pressure and keeping it under control with the help of a health care professional and perhaps give a number to call if additional information is desired.  I agree that sensitive personal information should not be given unless you initiate the call no matter who the caller claims to be and even if they have your name. UHC, if it is you, you should find a better way.

it's UHC calling for any number of things, but it IS also a robo-call, and they ask you to verify who you are, then to verify your date of birth.... they call my house every fuc*ing day to "offer me a valuable service" and they're trying to get me sign up to some nurse/care line program... doesn't cost anything, but it's just some bullsh*t program where they are trying to get you to manage whatever condition you have.... basically it's for people too stupid to realize they need to take whatever pill every day and blood tests, or get blood pressure or cholesterol or whatever it is you've got checked out regularly and they push whatever dietary program that pertains to whatever it is you've got...... told these fuc*ing clowns about 37 times over the last year that I'm not interested, I'm all set, and DO NOT CALL me anymore... but they just stop calling for a few weeks then start up again, calling every god damned day until you look up a number that will actually connect you to a live person to tell them to fu*k the fu*k off

I got a phone call from this number wanting personal information.  I called United Health Care and they could not tell me if the phone call was legit.

Caller ID said 800 service. Recorded call claiming to be from United Healthcare asking me to call and enter a code for some important information. I'll call UHC tomorrow to verify if number is legit. Seems to me if its really important, they could send me an email. Seems fishy to me.

The call appears to actually be from United Healthcare, but when a robocall asks for my date of birth it is blocked.  They need to ask for info that cannot be used for fradulent purposes.  Not because i am worried about UHC, but i don't give out that info when someone calls me, only when i make the call

I got this call and hung uip. Then called UHC on the number on their website. The folks were clueless. Didn't know if the number was fake; didn't know if it was real; i told them about the comments on this website and all the person said was . OK. I suggested she let her security people but i don't think my suggestion was going anywhere. The UHC website has no search function to search the number nor does it indicate that this is about Blood Pressure awareness.

Looking over complaints it seems there is a long delay between them calling all the time. 2015, july 2 from "not decieved" then start again 2016, november 2 from "Tm Hatr". Not legit in my opinion. Blocked

Receive messages for 866 640 778 on a daily basis. Provided a PIN number and asked to return the call. If it is truly UHC, they will need to message me via their website. Too many unsavory people trying to access data via robocalls. I'm not returning this call!

Got a robo call claiming to be from United Health Care, saying they had important information. Called back using the 7 digit code they provided, and the first thing the automated answer wanted was for me to provide my DOB. Refused, tried to get a rep to pick up, no luck. Hung up, contacted UHC using the number on my ID card, got a real person who said it was not a call from UHC. Scam alert.

Yup same thing just happened to me.  They called me at work, saying they were looking for my wife urgently from UHC.  Would no give DOB, don't fall for this.  Automated system eventually hung up

Even if these calls are legitimately from UHC, this is a very poor business plan for them to place automated calls having an automated voice asking you for your DOB after its told you your name and asked you to verify it. Have they never heard of scam calls? ?? You don’t call someone—live or automated—whose name you have and ask the call’s receiver for their DOB. Someone at UHC is not using basic proper business compliance peocedure in trying to get their message across ro its plan participants. Time for UHC to rework this one if it is truly them. It’s negligible to act so truly regardless of their partcipants’ confidentiality and well-being.

25 July 2019 - Claims to be United Health Care (UHC) - I got the same robo call recording with a unique 7 digit access code. There are posts all the way back to 27 Nov 2013 on this - 6 years!!!

I've been getting repeated robocalls from this number purporting to be United Health Care. However my employer dropped United Health Care and we get our group health insurance through a different company so I don't know why they're calling me and don't trust that they're who they say they are.

Call with PIN, so  I called back. It hung up on me when I asked for a real person instead of giving my date of birth. Really low class , and I don't believe it's UnitedHealthcare for real. They usually contact me by email or paper mail.

Robo-type call left several messaged to call 866 640-7778 and type an access code. called the number and typed in the access code and then it asks for my birth date. Hung up and called United Heathcare and the agent said if it was Unitied Heathcare, their system leaves a message to call the number on the back of their card.

They should not ask for personal information over the phone!

As previously stated, this is a robocall from United HealthCare. Although at no time is it stated during the call that it is a survey, it IS a survey, asking for blood pressure readings. At that point I opted out of the survey (hung up).

This is NOT United Healthcare!  I called the number I have for United and they did not know this number.  BEWARE!   ID said "United Healthcare"  This can be faked!

This is not United Healthcare! You are being scammed!
