- Dayton| 1 replyTXT msg STOP to 33888 and that will cancel the service from billing you
if u get a txt message with news content THAT WILL BILL YOU 13.00 for that TXT.. yes i kno RIP OFF
but if you reply to that txt with STOP it will confirm that it will no longer send and bill you.
Once you have done those steps, keep that confirmation txt msg. If they still bill you.. you can
1) File a complaint for FCC or CRTC which ever country your in.
2) Write a letter threating a law suit, the company will be responsible for attorney fees and court filing cost should you pursue with the law suit. Ask them for a refund to avoid legal action, and collections.
Hope that helps, I had this problem and i typed stop and so far nothing else billed, I was upset for my news website not telling me i'll be billed for this, but it did in the tiny writing.. so be careful. I'll pay the 13.00 but that news agency lost my trust, respect and now they don't have any credibility at all.
I'd rather pay one time 13.00 and get it over with rather then stressing about a 13.00 refund. :( life is too short.. i just say here ($13.00) take it and shove it up ur ass n f$%K off..- Caller: Playphn.com

- Aidy replies to DaytonI have already sent msg STOP to 33888 on Mar. 8th. and received the confirm msg from 33888. But i get a msg "playphone" from 00033888 on Mar. 23. Then I found the 13 dollars fee still on my recently bill as same as several months ago.
Could you help me to figure out why I have this item on my bill? And do I need to send msg STOP to 33888 again? or just replay msg STOP to 00033888?
Thank you. - Sher| 2 repliesI am also getting this charge of $13 form a text I didn't even sign up for. 1866-853-9793. They need to stop this. How the hell do I get them to stop billing me??

- sdl replies to TeresaHere's what you do!
Call Billing Dept. 877-312-7002 and tell them to stop your account. My son had signed up and as he was only 12, they actually are sending me a refund for the last 3 months!
You can also email support@allpp.com and tell them to stop and blockme@allpp.com so they never contact your cell phone again!
Their web is http://www.playphone.com/helpnew.aspx

- Mike| 3 repliesI to received a $10.00 charge and called bell and they took the charge off the bill. I was also told to text 65555 with only STOP typed in or I would continue to receive bill from them. I did what I was told and we will see what happens. I do not have any idea how this happened either. I never have contacted them and don't think they have contacted me, but I got the bill. Hopefully this works itself out, if not my contract is about to run out or a number change might be in order.

- FDI don't accept any calls I don't recognize, nor do I subscribe to any such calls, nor do I download anything. I don't even have any downloaded ring tones. So where the heck does this Jamster Mobile number event come from? How does this even happen and show up on our bills? I don't believe in texting on my phone to some stranger number sequence. As you can tell, I'm very suspicious of any strange or unknown numbers, so NO I don't want to text to 655555 or whatever number to solve this. Can I call Bell and can they explain the occurrence of this event?

I don't remember having subscribe to that! Is it possible someone else did it without my authorization!?!?
But the problem is not that Jamster companie in fact... it's Bell and other phone companies who allow other companies to charge service on my phone bill. This make no sense at all I think! Will I get those those kind of charges on my Videotron cable bills as well!?!? And why not on my Hydro-Quebec bills also!?!?! If I want to pay something, I'll use my credit card... that's the purpose of it. - AAB| 3 repliesI was suckered as well. Brand-new Bell Mobility user with a Samsung Galaxy S2. $11 on my first Bell bill from Jamster.com. Say what? Went to www.jamster.ca on my laptop. My cell number was recognized but of course had no PIN. Went to "forgot PIN" online. Reset same. Waited for confirmation text msg from Jamster on my cell. Only took a few minutes. Back to laptop. Logged in, went to "My account" and unsubscribed. Seems to have worked as my account is now listed as "unsubscribed". Doubt I'll get the $11 back but will nag Bell and my credit card holder until one or the author recognizes that this was an unauthorized charge.
As others above have noted, the REAL problem here is not the pond scum that is Jamster, but the service providers (e.g., Bell) that would allow such charges to be tacked onto an existing phone contract. I wonder how many persons don't notice such things and wind up paying an extra $11 (plus HST of course) for months or years without noticing? Watch your bills...- Caller: Jamster.com
- khan replies to MikeBell , Rogers and all other companies make commission off of them so they will never stop it
- Mattman replies to AAB| 2 repliesI hope someone else gets a little info from my post.
I saw the text randomly come in on my phone welcome to jamster. I'm sure I must have downloaded a game that they have from Itunes or some other inapp ad. I don't look at my e-bill all the time if I know i'm over my data limit i know i'm going to pay a litte bit more so it fluctuates sometimes and I didn't notice it for at least 3 months that they had charged me 9.99 + tax for a subscription fee. I had to drill down further to find the name of the billing company.... Jamster, well I got the run-around from my service provider of course but I asked them to document my phone call and complaint that I expressly did not accept any subscription service and promptly contacted JAMSTER. I first verified that my phone number was not registered and that I didn't in a night of drunkeness accept some ridiculous offer. I then contacted Jamster by telephone being sure to write down the name of the CSR and the time and date and asked several questions.
-When did I sign up
-How did I sign up
-What services of yours have I used/purchased.
I got a big fat "well I can't tell how you signed up"
"That is not acceptable," I told him and told him I wanted my funds returned to me as there was no service provided. This is the age of electronic data and these people make money by transactions. They are legally required to keep records of all of their transactions. He offered a mailed cheque which suits me fine and he also promptly offered to block my phone number from their services after I also inquired how do you charge me without an opt-in.
You should always say "I want to know how you signed me up for your service." Let's see if I get my cheque within the 20 business days he said I would. - Lastica replies to Mike| 1 replyI was billed by Jamester for $11.00 and by Buongiorno for $9.99 over three months as I was not checking my bill. One of the company accused me of signing up for this service using the process below. I did not complete this process.
This is the email I received from Buongiorno customer service:
We have checked our records to track the personal history of the mobile
phone number:
You, or someone with physical access to your phone, were most likely
browsing the internet or using an application on your phone and saw an
ad for our Gamifive Application.
After clicking the ad, you were brought to a page where the terms and
cost of the service were displayed explaining that Gamifive is a billed
as a subscription services at $9.99/month. In order to subscribe, you
first had to click the button to initiate the subscription. The page
then refreshed and you had to click again to confirm. The cost and
terms of the service were displayed at each step of the 2-click sign up
flow.
After completing the sign up, your phone accessed the homepage of the
service and displayed a popup with instructions on how to save the app
on your phone. A welcome message was also sent to your phone containing
pricing and customer support information. A subscription cannot be
completed without this two-step process and can only be done by someone
with physical access to the phone.
Your subscription with Gamifive was canceled on 01/09/2013. Our last
charge was on 12/22/2012. There will be no further charges beyond this
billing cycle.

Rinaldo
