Keep calling for my son who has not lived here for 4 years. keep asking me to give him message even though i said no and not to call here anymore! This last call was from Margaret Wilson and she was quite aggressive and rude. This is harassment and i'm reporting them to the do not call list.

I am just wondering if they stopped calling?

It doesn't matter if you owe money or not, if you are the right person or not, if you talk to them or not, if you try to resolve over and over again or not, if you are angry or not, if you are abusive or polite, it doesn't matter. They will call you for ever - year after year after year. It doesn't even end if you pay them. The creditor places the account with the next agency using the same collection software and the calls continue.
Bankruptcy doesn't stop it - the calls continue even after your Trustee serves them notice.
Your lawyer can't stop it - they'll ignore his or her letters.
Legislation won't stop it - they already randomly violate Regulation 103/06 of the Collection Agencies Act.
Hundreds of Complaints haven't stopped it - there's little effective enforcement.
This is an industry that only continues when they get some people to pay. - That's the money that sustains the calls. So, when you get the first call from any Debt collection company - it's your time to make up your mind to never pay ever - no matter what. Pass the word through all social media - tell everyone not to pay. When the money stops the whole industry will be gone. That's when the calls stop.
Refusal to let this industry exist starts with a few, becomes a movement, and will ultimately succeed. You have the power - Pass it on.

I have been getting calls from these deadbeats for a few weeks now. They say that they represent Bell Canada, and need me to call them right away.

I had a parting of ways with Bell several years ago. Bell then tried to bill me for $400 twice for breaking contracts with them, and a small amount of time they still kept billing me for a service they knew I was no longer using.

Clearly EOS NCN bought the outstanding bill from Bell Canada. I hope that it didn't cost them too much, because it was a really bad investment for them. I WILL NEVER PAY THIS BILL!

BLOCKED & #/name on Phnbk (caller is too illegitimate to include their co. name on Call Display), so ignore since wrong #/recipient, BUT still keep calling for 6-7 years = computer & it keeps dialing daily ('GIGO') !!!
Blocked so no stupid VM msg, but still rings once so irritating !
U'd think even a computer wud know call is BLOCKED & NO $$$ to be had !
C'est la vie in the days of computer/robo calls & the lack of guts for humans to try & call/talk to another human !!!
Some company shud make/sell a cheap consumer version that we can use to robocall back these idiots & tie up their phone lines !!!

This # is in CANADA (not USA), so is CRTC domain,
BUT they do nothing & ALLOW (WHY !?) these jerks to not have to obey any DNC rules/laws, so it just becomes a battle of WILL ~ WE WILL KEEP CALLING/ROBO-DIALING U & 'WE THE PEOPLE' WILL KEEP IGNORING U !!!

Too bad that many 'legit' companies turn to these skum to try & collect rather than deal with it 'professionally' themselves &/or 'right it off' like they do daily w other debts!
If the CA's collect $$$ the 'legit' co's get sum $ back (not all), BUT (& IT'S A BBIIGG BUT) - the legit co's do not realize the marketing/brand damage they are doing to their business = ANYBODY HARASSED BY THESE DOORKNOBS WILL NEVER, EVER DEAL WITH THE LEGIT COMPANY EVER AGAIN & ... THEY SPREAD THE WORD & WE ALL KNOW THAT THE MOST POWERFUL MARKETING TOOL IS 'WORD OF MOUTH' (& believers trust more what they hear via this method & don't usually question the source) !!!

Block the numbers on your call block or reject function. Every time you get a number like this, repeat. Eventually, they run out of numbers. Typically, collection companies buy debt at a discount and the collectors are given a commission on collection. The spread is their profit. The other thing is there is a myriad of bad people that might be calling that serve no good purpose for you to speak with. Legitimate businesses do not employ these tactics, nor do high-quality legitimate debt recovery facilities.

Somebody posing as "AIR MILES" contacted their fraud department. They advise not to give any info  personal or financial.

I got a call today from 866-709-9891.  The person at the other end of the phone said he was looking for my wife.  When I explained that she had passed away six months ago they accused me of making up a story to avoid paying debts and insisted that I need to provide them with a copy of the death certificate.  When I explained that I did not have a death certificate because only I knew she was dead there was silence on the phone for about 10 seconds.  When I told my wife about this (she is alive and healthy) she was upset with me.  I figure I was doing her a favor by making up a story..  She is still cussing and says she wants a divorce.  Should I call back the collection agency?

Automated collections harassment. These vultures are calling for a very small Bell Canada debt my son acquired in 2004! Over twelve years ago!  He doesn't even live her any more. They have been calling ever since. They know that no one will take them to court for the small amounts owed since they did not renew the debt in court after 7 years so they capitalize on harassing illegally for money. Simply keep blocking their new numbers.

It is EOS, a debt collection agency, fishing for a verbal response to keep harassing.

..or Rogers, they exchange info and these monopolists work in cahoots with each other. Careful of both, especially Rogers if you download movies.  In this case, it is a callous collections agency called EOS on behalf of Bell (I think they buy Bell's debts on a fraction of a dollar for those they collect or something, not sure, but its a harassing collections agency for sure). Rogers even sends out copyright notices on behalf of Paramount studios and others, not that they care about US media companies than their own treasure chest and crappy content they gouge Canadians for.
