These idiots at 866-732-1623 keep calling my employee at my office on my time. i got on the phone and told them to stop calling yet they kept yelling at me saying they could call and insisted I give her a message.  I took their number and extension (1623) and I started calling them.  They are idiots.

I cancelled T-mobile because they have no service after a relocation to Nebraska. I disputed the claim that I owed the amount because they continued my service even after cancellation. I paid the amount not in dispute.($136 dollars)  They called to tell me I still owed a smaller amount after the small credit to my account. I asked for verification of the amount still owed in writing. One lady told me it cost more to go through her legal department than the debt I still owe. (it's 34 dollars).  I am going off principal here.  They threaten with points off my credit.  Sometimes they call and ask to verify social security number without identifying themselves.  NO GOOD! Sometimes they call and simply ask for my date of birth to identify myself.  All together, they will not send verification that I still owe a debt.   I WILL PAY THE AMOUNT OWED if they provide me with written notice I still owe a debt.They call everyday.  I am not paying an arbortrary amount to a lady (ghetto) on the phone with my cc with out written proof I owe a debt.. These people are harrasing and misleading at times.

They will not provide anything in writing because it's a ghetto call center paying people around 9 dollars an hour.   It's not the caller's fault.  At least they take a cut in food stamp to get a job.. It's the lawyers who sell these accounts to these call center's fault. There really is nothing the caller can do but stay in que and run their story, ALL DAY LONG.  What a crappy job.. They are probably getting screwed from their employer as well.

Just got my cell phone 23 hours ago, brand new number & phone. I am Canadian and have been in the U.S. a short time. There's no way they're calling for me on this number, or about my credit (U.S. wouldn't have it). I called them back extremely fast, ready to document all action, and gave them my new number ONLY, having been warned by the interwebs not to do otherwise. They said that the number belonged to a Mario Lxxxx and that they would immediately remove my number from their system. I was very firm but not rude. 'Number ONLY, get me out of your system,' kind of thing. Will update on success of this action.

These people are bunch of idiots, they used to call me everyday and I finally talked to them after I realized what they want and tried to pay the money they were saying I owe them. they charged me twice the amount and when I called them and asked them what they did they said NO we charged you only for one payment when in fact they charged me twice.

Then they put lesser amount on my credit report saying I STILL OWE THEM.

My advice to you: IF AMSHERE (http://www.amsher.com/) ever contacts you NEVER PAY THEM you will end up more misery than you were in. They aint even know the right way to deal with people.

calling and harrassing me ..

I keep on getting a call from there automated system and can loose my job if they continue. I contacted them and from the beginning the ghetto lady kept on interupting me and wouldn't let me talk.  I finally said some racial remark to them and was xfer to a supervisor that wanted me to appologize to his team.  No way!!!  VERY RUDE!!!

You can always save their number as "Do Not Answer" and every time their number comes up you will know not to answer. Eventually, I think they will go away.

If its not a scam why when you call the number back they answer the phone like they are on their own personal phone and when you ask the name of the company more than once they jusy keep saying their in the financial department ? I worked in collections if the customer asked the name of the company you don't refuse to give them the information..they are using amshers name to hide behind,I called amsher directly and they informed me I was not in the system as owing anything..

These guys are a joke they threaten me so i got the feds on there but, if you can find a physical adress i would love to have it.

You say they are legitimate.  If that is true then why dont they act professionally like any other legitimate company would?  Why do they harrass/threaten and be rude if that is the case? Legitimate companies knows how they are supposed to respond to the person on the other end of the phone.  They know perfectly well the dos and donts yet Amshir breaks everyone of those rules.  Legitimate? Perhaps, but that is irrelevant.  They are harrassing/threatening and rude.  That is unacceptable under the guidelines they are to adhere.  They also pass themselves off as attorneys which is a bald face lie.

These people have called our home for over a year now leaving a recorded message asking for someone we dont even know.  We have had this number for over 28 years.  I have even talked directly with these people explaining I do not know the person they are asking for and it is totally ignored.  I have also asked them to not call our number again.  This also is ignored.  We have never owed a bill we do not pay for in a timely manner.  Never.  So it is very aggravating to receive calls about unpaid bills that do not pretain to us.

They never send proper paperwork showing the debt they say "SOMEONE" (?) owes.  All they do is continue to threaten and harrass via phone even after being told the person they are seeking does not live at this address.

We no longer answer any toll free numbers or out of state numbers unless we recognize the number or the caller ID shows who the company is.

Having a license does not make someone professional.  Amshir uses their license to make people's lives miserable.

The reason these people want you to call back is because they can have a record of you making contact with THEM.  They will use that to say you know you are the person who has a collection owed.

Do not make contact with these people.   Even if you owed this old debt every state has a Statute of Limitations and if a collection agency is calling the Statute of Limitations has long passed.  Old debt cannot be collected unless the ower agrees to it nor can it be reported to the Credit Bureau. These people have bought old debt for pennys on the dollar.  The amount that they will say you owe is astronomical and is way above what was originally owed.

Dont fall for their trickery.  They will tell you they are attorneys which is not the truth.  They want to trick you into paying a debt that by law you do not have to pay due to the Statute of Limitations.

I dont agree with this.  Whomever works for Amshir has to act professionally and adhere to the guidelines.  It doesnt matter if they are paid $5.00 an hour they cannot harass or threaten the person they are calling.  Nor can they call the person disparaging names and cuss at them.
