- gggggrrrrrr| 13 replies12 calls in 4 hours.. SERIOUSLY? If this is a payday loan, I DON'T WANT ONE. I do not put my info on the internet.
Wish they'd stop calling. I asked them to on the one time I answered the phone, but, nope.. still keep calling. IDIOTS- Caller: some payday loan
- Violet7865My Payday Relief isn't offering payday loans, they are offering to contact the pay day loan companies and attempt to ''force'' they companies to accept debt settlements for their ''customers''.
You are instructed to not pay the payday companies, completely close the bank account(s) used, and ignore collection calls and threats from the payday companies. While this is going on, you send very small payments that PaydayRelief deposits into an account that they will use when they have forced the payday loan companies to accept a reduced amount to settle the debt.
Remember, the customer of PayDayRelief is going to receive harassing and constant phone calls for an unknown amount of time from the payday loan companies they are not paying.
A scary blazing red flag of great concern is the required Limited Power Of Attorney a customer must notarize and provide to PaydayRelief.
In their FAQs the company states that payday companies DON'T usually report to Experian, Equifax or Transunion. Why they wouldn't I don't know but the claim that y our FICO score won't be affected is extremely hard to believe.- Caller: PayDayRelief
- catmenThey accused me of owing they said they are suing.

- Richard C replies to gggggrrrrrr| 12 repliesIt's amazing to me, that they think I'm so idiotic to listen to the BS these people, ALL with India accents, are spewing, telling me they're from The State Attorney's Office in CA. I've never gotten a payday loan, but after this last call, number 3 so far, I just hang up on them. They've even told me that the Sheriff from my county will be visiting me the next day to serve me papers.. I told them, I'll be waiting.. that was over 2 weeks ago.
Somehow, they've gotten the house number & called yesterday, but the scammer refused to tell me who SUPPOSEDLY was suing me, so again.. HANG UP!!.. You're from The State Attorney's Office & can't tell me who is suing me?.. I'm not a 10 year old & can see through them like glass.
There has to be a way to get these bast*rds.. I'd like to beat the crap out of each & every one of them until my knuckles were bloody & raw.

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.
Some fraudsters have instructed victims to fax a statement agreeing to pay a certain amount, on a specific date, via a pre-paid Visa card. The statement further declares the victim will never dispute the debt.
If you receive these calls, do not follow the caller’s instructions. Rather, you should:
■Notify your banking institutions.
■Contact the three major credit bureaus and request an alert be put on your file.
■Contact your local law enforcement agencies if you feel you are in immediate danger.
■File a complaint at www.IC3.gov.
Tips to avoid becoming a victim of this scam:
■Never give your Social Security number—or personal information of any kind—over the telephone or online unless you initiate the contact.
■Be suspicious of any e-mail with urgent requests for personal financial information. The e-mail may include upsetting or exciting but false statements to get you to react immediately.
■Avoid filling out forms in e-mail messages that request personal information.
■Ensure that your browser is up-to-date and security patches have been applied.
■Check your bank, credit, and debit card statements regularly to make sure that there are no unauthorized transactions. If anything looks suspicious, contact your bank and all card issuers.
■When you contact companies, use numbers provided on the back of cards or statements

I'm seriously thinking of doing it.. my sanity is worth calling all of the people on my phone list to change the number.
- BobHI get calls from these [***] on a daily basis. 4 to 5 times in a row. I've gotten into the habit of blowing a dog whistle into the phone as loud as I can but they still keep calling. I will change my phone number if it keeps on. Hindu or Indian accents.
- Caller: Who knows?
- Patty replies to Wendy ScottYes, they are leaches...totally....I will never apply for a "loan-shark" loan again...ever, ever, on the internet. I found out once you do, they have your phone number, I work for Veteran Admin. And they even had the gall to call them asking questions about me....If I could, I would sabotage these jerks who are worse than slime under a rock...Thanks...Patty
- BettyI get these calls all day long. I've had 2 of them tell me that they are informing me of a lawsuit against me, and I told them "thank you, I've been informed, don't call back" and hung up. They haven't called back. But the norm is for them to get verbally abusive. I have been called a liar, a thief, and one of them called my boss and called him a m-----f----r because he told them that they needed to be talking to me, not him. One of them, when I wouldn't give him a debit card number and kept hanging up on him, called back and was whispering into the phone that he worked for an online dating service. I handed my husband the phone then and he fought with him. And another one told me that for $140 he could make it all go away. These people will do anything they can to get your money and how many people have fallen for it and paid them because they were afraid they were going to jail?
