This is a toll free service. When googled it comes up Skylink Receivable. Pretty sure it's a debt collector.

Won’t stop calling me!!

I've been dealing with Bond Collections/Skylink Receivables in Ontario going on 5 years now. The same guy has been calling Me all these years and he always calls Me with No Caller ID. As a rule I don't answer to calls with No Caller ID. Although I don't answer these types of calls he usually leaves a message! My Biggest Issue with this Collection Agency is in the 5 years I've been dealing with him and I've made payments towards My Debt, He has never sent Me any Statements regarding My Debt and the Payments I've made all these years. I've requested Statements from him but he keeps dodging the request. My Other Big Issue with this Debt Collection Company is No matter how much I've paid off they still continue to charge interest on the balance owing as if I can afford to pay them interest. I don't get the logic of having to continue paying interest when my debt is in Collections and I'm trying to pay my debt down but the they keep adding on the interest. It's a vicious circle! I've asked him several times to send Me Proof of where My account stands but nothing has happened yet. But he keeps calling. I Stopped making payments in June 2018 because I couldn't afford to make payments any longer and because he hasn't sent me the information I requested. I talked to several Debt Settlement Agencies and they told me not to send Skylink Receivables anymore money until they have done their part in sending me a Statement that shows the Activities regarding my account with them. The last phone call from this guy was on February 22, 2019, same thing No Caller ID, he left a message. I listened to his message which wasn't a pleasant one, then decided to call him back. Told him my circumstances haven't changed, he wasn't empathetic what so ever. I asked him again to send Me a Statement regarding my account, but he seems to keep ignoring to send me proof. Makes me really wonder How legit this Collection Company is???

I would say that you have been scammed.  A legitimate debt collector would send you an accounting of the debt and payments when requested.  You have been smart not to make any more payments.  The next time he calls, do not ask for a statement of account. demand that one be sent to you as hardcopy via the postal service.  When he again tries to sidestep the issue, or flatly refuses to comply, (and he will since it is a scam) tell him that you have just had your last conversation with him and that all further communications will have to be in writing.  Then, hang up, block the number and resist any temptation you might have to pick up or return any future calls from this outfit.

I do not know how you made your payments, but if by check or debit card you might want to change your account to block any unauthorized withdrawals using information from previous payments.  If by credit card, you may want to call the number on the back of the card and explain the situation to see if you can get the account number changed.  Since you stopped paying back in June, it is probably too late to challenge any of the payments with your bank or credit card provider.

Chalk-up the payments you have made to them as an important life lesson learned and move on.
