- teresaCalled twice claiming they are with AT&T and asked if we had a phone account with them. Told them they had the information in front of them and should know that answer. Said they wanted to make sure everything was the same with our phone account since AT&T's merger with Bellsouth. I told them both times that AT&T was supposed to send me a contract with everything spelled out for our signature and hadn't received it yet. Soon as they do that, I'll get the contract right out. First lady said her computer was about to go down and would have to call me the next day; I asked why she called if her computer wasn't working. She said she'd call back and hung up.
- Caller: said it was AT&T

- SandyCalled me several times and wanted to change my business accounts with AT&T, requested a copy of my business license, drivers license and FEIN. Cannot verify that they are with AT&T.

- GeoffCalled asking "Do you have an account with AT&T?"
I said "Yes, why?" Then asked "Could I talk with
the person in charge of that account." I asked,
"What about?". She said something about rate
plans changing now that AT&T has merged with
Bellsouth and she would save me money-- started
talking very fast. I am pretty sure the person
does not work for AT&T or BellSouth. I told her
I'm busy now and I will call AT&T later and
sort it out. She just said "OK" and hung up. - moonbeamCalled 6:15pm central time. My callwave answer service picked up the call. Callwave recorded their message which was very interesting. The caller did not hang up in time for me not to here someone in the back ground calling out, "lets go baby, lets go, lets go, comeon lets go" Can also here lots of people talking on phones. Obviously a network of callers calling people for private info ect.

- John| 2 repliesCalled at 11:14am eastern time saying he was from the new AT&T asking for "the person who pays the bills" to see if we were getting all of we were getting all of the discounts we were susposed to get the callers name was Everett ... i explained that we had already contacted the customer service number printed on our phone bill to let them know of the posibility of people making fradulent calls i also asked to speek to his supervisor who he claimed "was in a meeting" i also hinted that if the calls were continued that our next steps would be to file a complaint with the local FBI office about identity theft and fraud.... he seemed scared
if much more of this continues ... whatever paperwork is required will be used.... ahhh the power of the pen...

- JoeCalled at 5:07 31 Oct. Talked very fast and I refused to talk to her until she slowed down. She had a new deal with AT&T which would provide us with an additional line and unlimited long distance phone calls for $161.00 per month. I asked about the DSL and was told that it would not change. I pulled out last months bill and informed her that the service she was offering cost me $82.00 last month. She hung up. She gave me the last name of Alstos. I was unable to understand the First name.

- Chiro in KYIf this is from AT&T, it's stupid since we already do business with them. When they called today, they hung up when the phone was answered and the ID says "Unknown" so I can only go by what others on the list are saying.

- jaybmore| 7 repliesHad previously been receiving multiple calls from 866-759-5447. I called the main number yesterday and spoke to someone about removal. I then received a call from a 240-294-1590 number this morning. This time I called back and with a little more urgency demanded that my number be removed. She wanted to ask my name. I said "you're calling me, you should know!". Thirty minutes later, I recieve another call. I'm livid so I put my Google skills to the test. I have found a DIRECT line to the CEO of the Maryland unit of Novo 1. I got voicemail but I figure if they can ring my phone off the hook, I'll ring his. Let's give them their medicine in return.
