1). Why do they not leave a message?
2). Why, rather than display their name on the callerID, do they display "TOLL FREE"?
3). Why  do they continue to call week after week?
4). Why when no one, in my household has donated blood to the Read Cross for 3+ years (we use a plasma donation center instead) do they continue to call?

call comes up only as toll free followed by the number.

I refuse to help the red cross. In the last 10 years we've had two severe ice storms leaving rural people without power for as long as 4 weeks. County and state officials contacted the red cross for aid and were refused.
It seems like the red cross only helps in areas where they get good advertising.

I donate also and I got the same call. You can call your LOCAL Red Cross office and ask to speak with the blood department and they will remove you from their data base.

Maybe American Red Cross? If so, caller forgot to hang up headset when he got my answering machine. Two minutes of creepy heavy breathing....

Today I decided to try to find who was the caller from this number who kept calling and hanging up.
This is my phone call log for the past few months.  I didn't realize how many!  I will start blocking the call.
I hope someone knows how to stop this.

If you text the word "STOP" to this number you get an automated text back saying they will no longer contact you. this goes for any calls like this

Yes a worthy cause indeed, but the ends does not justify the means. Their calls are excessive and border on harassment. I have donated over two gall ms during the course of my life without ever being called, so why do they feel the need to use this tactic on me?

Leave a message or don't call me. This tactic needs to stop. I have received 9 calls in the last month with no voicemail. I would be more likely to donate if you asked me and left a number with how I can call to set up an appointment. I don't care for being "tricked" into answering the phone. If you are going to spam me, send an email...I can delete those much easier.

Hey Met, thanks I forgot their number.

I got a call from them yesterday.  The part that made me doubt the call was the fact that she said that someone would call back or that I should call them.  She never mentioned to register online.  I wonder if they are a company that the Red Cross has hired and they get paid by the number of appointments that they get.  If I go and donate I will go online.  Not what people's hard earned donations should be paying for.

call and hang up...I no longer have good thoughts of red cross and will not donate to them anymore....It's too bad

Out and out harassment...They have been told to stop calling and put the number on the DO NOT CALL list....But they still do.  I had to stop giving blood because of their harassment....I have suggested to al my friends and family to be very careful with the American Red Cross.. Maybe some day I will find a more reputable blood bank!

They keep changing their number I have added it to my phone 4 or 5 times this year and I always get called from a diffrent number

American Red Cross    They are annoying at best.  I don't need or want phone calls from them every week because it just makes me more determined not to donate blood.  I don't classify them as a non-profit any longer - they are a telemarketer and just as aggravating.
