- AmyI went online and was looking into taking out a loan. I never did take out a loan. I checked my bank account online and noticed that two companies had taken $29.95 and $30 out of my bank account. I contacted the company that took out $29.95 and I was eventually refunded that amount within 15 business days. I also contacted Loan Assistance Program at 866-765-5097 and they said it would take 30 business days to get it back. I thought that was ridiculous since it takes no time to fraudulently take money out of my account, but I did wait. Thirty days went by and they didn't refund me my money, so I called back. They said that it showed that it had been refunded and that they were sending a note to their billing department to look into it, and that it would be resolved in 3-5 business days. I waited. I called back and was told to wait 3-5 business days. I waited. I called back and was really aggravated, so they "assured me" that it would be in my account in 24-48 hours. Well guess what, it wasn't. I told my husband about all of it and I called and got the lady on the phone and tried to figure it all out. She said to wait 3-5 business days and she "assured me" it would be back in. My husband took the phone and demanded to speak with a supervisor. The lady put him on hold and kept saying that the supervisor was busy and asked if he wanted to wait. He said yes that he would wait until next week if he had to, but he was going to speak to a supervisor. He finally spoke with Jason. Jason asked why he hadn't spoken with a supervisor before. I told my husband that I had asked several times but they wouldn't let me speak to one. He said that since I hadn't spoken with a supervisor before that it would be different now cause he was a supervisor and he "assured us" that we would have the $30 refunded to our account in 3-5 business days. I just called back because it hasn't been refunded and she said that the 3-5 business days would be up on Monday. (Today is Saturday.) I told her to put a note in our account stating that if the money isn't refunded by close of business Monday that I will be filing a complaint with the BBB, Attorney General, and I would be seeking an attorney to sue them. She "assured me" that it would be refunded by Monday at the close of business.

- S. ScottsdaleI just had the same problem with my bank account! A $30 check made out to "Check Process" which my bank paid. I went up there Sunday to file a claim and have the check as well the NSF fee reversed. I don't even remember giving anyone my banking information but thankfully my bank is going to investigate and return the funds to me, BUT I have to close my account and get a new one. UGH! Lesson learned...

- Jeanne replies to JamisonThe same thing just happend to me too. I have to go to my branch bank and sign some paperwork. I also think I should get my account changed.
- suziDid not receive a phone call from this number bu this is the number the bank gave me for a check that i did not authorize!! and my bank wants me to call and dispute it with this company. This is the 2nd time in a week that this has happened to me because i applied for a loan online. now my account is overdrafted and i am in hard times. What is wrong with people that they would do something like this
- LynseyThis company charged me $30.00 and state it to help me find a loan, I stated I never needed their services, nor signed up for them and she refused to refund, only to send a $100 gas card and cancel my account. After being on hold for 20 minutes after saying repeatedly her supervisor is on the line with someone else I told her I will be contacting an attorney and my bank. I must have not seen the invisible writing when trying to apply for a loan online. Scammers!
- AnneSame thing happened to me, I received an alert from my bank that a check had cleared, however when I went online to see what the check was for (since I have not written a check in almost 2 years) it was a "biller initiated check" made out to a "CheckProcess", when I informed my bank that this was fraudulent activity on my account they did some research and provided me with the following information behind this company Loan Assistance.
Transaction Date: 10/23/12
Transaction Amount: $30.00
Payor/Payee: Federal Reserve Bank
Contact Number: 866-234-5681
When I called this telephone number I was told that it was the Federal Reserve Bach ACH Customer Support Dept and they only talk to the banks they do not talk to the cunsumer, they only work with the banks to try to find fraudulent activity for customers. Now I am getting the run around from my bank and they are refusing to return the funds back to my account because it looks as though it was something I approved. So not only am I getting screwed from my bank, but someone out there has access to my checking account information and my bank wants to charge me $35 to close the account and open a new one!- Caller: Loan Assistance
- Kristin LindhI have a $30 electronic check presented against my account from this company. I never contacted them and do not think they ever called my home. I called them to find out what the charge was for and was told that it was for a payday loan that I never requested. They said that they would not refund the money and kept pressuring me to accept a payday loan. I have reported them to the FTC and will contact my bank on Monday. I have no idea where they go my information, but they have the wrong state for my address.

- The inside scoop| 1 replyThe problem is not the merchants "fraudulently" debiting the accounts. Upon our research we have determined that people are applying for pay day loans and are authorizing these payments to receive the pay day loan. To solve the problem...quit applying for the pay day loans!!!! That will shut the merchants down. FYI...most of the pay day loan companies are all owned by one corporation. So when you default with one and apply with a different company and they start debiting your account for the defaulted loan don't be surprised. You gave them the authorization to do so when you applied for the 2nd loan with the 2nd company. READ THE FINE PRINT!!! The real scammers are the people applying for the pay day loans. They close their bank accounts so they don't have to pay the loans back. Then open another account at a different bank to do the same thing to that bank. The banks are the ones getting left out to dry!!!! Not the ones applying for the pay day loans. They are getting off scott free. Completely not fair!!!
