    Also, 866-309-7454.

These guys are incredulous!  I didn't even enter my name.  A friend of mine entered his with my phone number.  My friend works on the road all year, and only has a business cell.  When they called for him, I told them he doesn't live here, he only gave this number as a land line because he can't have personal calls on his cell, that I would set up a meet date for him and give him the information.  I did.  I don't know if he went or not.  But, this company has called me non-stop.  When I finally answered and told them this phone belonged to me and not my friend, they told me that I could have whatever prizes they were offering if the phone was in my name, and they could just replace my friend's name with my name.  I said no thank you.

I tried to explain to the guy on the phone that I am a single mother, working a full-time job during the day, and doing full-time online court reporting school at night.  I have no money.  I have no gas to get to anywhere called Flynt, Texas, or Tyler, Texas, and I do not have three hours to spend listening to someone talk about a resort that I can't afford.

When he tried to entice me with the prize of a car, I told him I had no interest in winning a car that I was unable to pay taxes for.

When he tried to entice me with the prize of a vacation, I asked if it included air fare, and it did not.  So, I asked him why would he offer me a vacation when I can't afford the air fare.

THEN, if you can believe it, he offered me a vacation for four days and nights, air fare paid.  So, I asked the guy did the vacation package include spending money.  Of course, he said no.  So, I asked him why would he offer me a vacation package with air fare when I can't afford to actually DO anything while I'm there?

He STILL would not get off my phone.

Finally, I just hung up.  They call every 20 minutes like psychotic people.

Seriously, I've hand boyfriends who didn't stalk me this bad!!!

So I enetered a contest for a Mercedez at my local mall one day and imagine my surprise when SilverLeaf Resorts calls and says I'm one of the top 4 prize winners. I talked to my mom about the call and she immediately said that it was a scam, but since I am 21, said I should go if I felt otherwise. Anyway, they called at the start of the week, I scheduled my appt. for the end of the week and mentally decided not to go towards the middle of the week. When they called back the first time, I felt like I might change my mind, so I moved my appt to an earlier time, but on the same day (Saturday). When, the week eneded however, I had no intentions of going to the resort and winning my "prize(s)". Initially the numbers that were connected with SilverLeaf were 817 numbers, not 866 numbers. (one line [817] must be used for getting you in the door, i.e. "the nice harrassers" and the other line [866] is after you miss your appt....those are the "call you every 5 seconds harrassers"). Anywho, here are the numbers:

    817-525-1024
    817-522-5891
    866-522-5891
    817-525-1040
    866-804-8589

Btw, my appt was at 10:30am on Saturday and it's only Monday, 5:30pm.

Your situation sounds exactly like mine. I was invited to the same resort at the same place, and those words were the same things that they told me....right down to the prize selection.

I had an appt LAST MONTH and they are still calling me.  I've blocked them on my phone.  I may call back and tell them that this constitues HARRASSMENT and to take me off the list now.  For the time being, I'm content to leave them in call block mode.

I received a call from them from a drawing I placed my name in a few months back. Got the call, set up an appt, went in....and for about 2 hrs-3hr, I listened to them ramble on about trying to sign up for a Country Club type timeshare(but not really) condo investment. It sounded good, I mean my husband and I travel a lot. At the end of the day, we didn't know enough about the company, nor did they feel like we needed to spend anymore time researching so we left. We did however get our $40 gift card, Trip to Hawaii and cruise to Mexico. I didn't feel like it was true, but we booked it and everything was good to go. If you can handle saying "no thank you" to their presentation, then you really are guaranteed the trips. If you don't want solicitors calling, maybe you should think twice about entering into drawings or allowing people to use your #s. Its common sense. People that want you to sign up for ANYTHING are going to use your # to try and sell you SOMETHING! No "prize drawing" is that simple.

I started getting calls after signing my son up for drivers education locally in Waco at a driving school named after the capitai of Texas "Austin" but I will not mention the name of "A....N" Driving School" This is the only place I can think of that could have sold/ released my number. Has any one else had this start similiarly?

Wow. Your complaints are real. I am having this happen to me as well. You should also add 517-522-5891 to your list. Similar to other messages in this thread, they did not leave a message for me either. Calling my work phone is a huge problem. As it could get me fired.

It is all a scam... the way it works is that the card they say you will receive is pre-set. They have a pile that has a trip to an exotic island, which they pay for you to be put at a resort where you get pressured to by time share. You have to provide your airfare. And who cab afford that? They give a card from this pile to those who do not purchase time share with silver leaf... the other pile has the other prizes on it, which you would only receive if you purchase the property they try to sale. Also, they run your credit as soon as your appointment is set... without your permission. If you have bad or no credit, before your appointment they will call you and tell you that they are full and would call you back as soon as they have an opening, they do not tell you that its because you have bad or no credit. Months later after not receiving a call back, if you were to call back they would send you through the cycle over again.

I attended a local speedway for a night of eventful car races... They had a promotion to win several prizes... I luckily won a 3/day 2 night vacation voucher to either Las Vegas or Orlando...and of course i had to pay for the airfare... I had like 2 weeks to call a 800 # to verify my "win"..... I ignored all this and last week (aug. 15th) i received a call from Silverleaf Resorts that i had won a car or 49 k in cash... All i had to do was attend a seminar in Galveston , Texas.
Of course after careful consideration i "missed" my appointement.. Now as of august 24 i am receiving calls NOT only on my cell but also on my "home" phone as well
i certainly don't recall giving out both of my #'s...... how do i stop these calls
so far i am only receiving calls from 866-804-8589

This place is an absolute nightmare. As a suggestion I add all the numbers to a contact name: DO NOT ANSWER, then set ringtone: NONE/SILENT. Tada! Call all you want, you're never going to reach me. I do this on my cellphone for every number that I look up and see that is undesireable.

    Hi Sonia,

My boyfriend and I are wondering how this worked out for you...? We are paying someone to take us out there if we do end up going, but I'm not sure if it'd real or not. I've read from other people that they did in fact win their prizes as promised.. Let me know if you get this on time!!

I made an appointment to meet with Silverleafs vacation store in Irving, I was told that it would be a 30 minute presentation then I would receive a voucher for a free 3 day 2 night trip (hotel & airfare included). I show up the day of our appointment and proceed to wait for 2 1/2 hours very patiently I finally tell them I am not waiting any longer and would like my trip, they reluctantly agree and take me back we fill out the paperwork and I am out the door 3 hours later.  I go to use my voucher you give them 3 dates that will work for you in the next year.  None of my dates were available to fly from Dallas to San Diego.  So they told me I could fly from Dallas to LA but would have to rent the car to get to San Diego. I told them this wasn't going to work and them mailed me back my trip deposit (to cover airline taxes).  Since the day I cancelled my trip they have called everyday.
