I got a call from that same number this morning. The lady on the other end said "Hello Cristy, you have have won our sweepstakes so congradulations!....Do you still have a visa card" I said "huh" and they hung up. Please avoid this number if you can.

They said I won a sweep stakes entry, and congradulations. I told her I don't give out my cell phone so how she got it was beyond me and I would have to decline any offers she's trying to give me and I hung up.  I then called the number back and got a fax machine. I heard about a scam from one of my friends where they ask you for your security number on the back of your visa. Yeah don't cause they will debit a huge amount from your card. Just wanrning everyone else out there.

i just got a call from this number, and missed the call.... when I called back, it was a fax machine....I know its making me mad, because its not the first time

CALLED MY CELL TWICE TODAY. wtf????

I kept getting calls, and I got so tired that whenever they would call I would answer and Say "your number is under investigation" , and then I would hang up. Now I have new numbers calling. I guess it didn't work

I have never answered it but they kep calling

Just received 3 calls in 20 minutes on my cell phone.  They hang up when I answer, try to call back and it is a fax number.

I just got a call from this number.  A woman said "Maria?" and I told her she had the wrong number.  She said "Oh... This is a courtesy call to let you know about a sweepstakes, blah blah blah holders of Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.  Do you have any of these cards?"  I said "No, and you have the wrong number."  She said "Okay, thank you very much, have a great day."  I've gotten a call before from an 800 number, asking for Maria, and when I said they had the wrong number the guy said "Well let me verify that I have the right number..." then he read off my phone number.  I hung up at that point.

I  call this number back and all i hear is a fax number.. i want this number to stop callin immediatley

I get the calls around the same time every morning, after 930am.

I just got a call from this number. I didn't answer because I never answer numbers I don't know. Who are they and where are they from?

They called me today I thought maybe it might be a call for a job opportunity or something but obviously not i called back but I got a fax machine. Does anybody know what it is that they are looking for. ill sue the hell out of them

THEY  CALLED ME TODAY 2 TIMES ALREADY. THE SECOND TIME A YOUNGER LADY IDENTIFIED ME BY MY NAME AND TOLD ME I WON A SWEEPSTAKE. I WAS CONFUSED SO I ASKED HER WHO WAS SHE AND WHAT SWEEPSTAKE. SHE REPEATED "SANTA FE MARKETING" AND THEN HANG UP. WEIRD. BUT NOW I FOUND THIS FORUM HERE AND I SEE I WAS NOT THE ONLY ONE..
IF THEY CALL AGAIN I BE SURE TELLING THEM THAT IF THEY KEEP ON CALLING I WILL REPORT THEM TO AUTHORITIES TO LET THEM DEAL WITH IT.
ALSO WHEN I CALLED BACK IT TURNED OUT TO BE A FAX NUMBER.

SO DONT LET THEM FOOL YOU AND RIGHT AWAY LET THEM KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOT TO BE MESSED AROUND WITH.
AND I HOPE I WONT BE CHARGED SOME OUTRAGOUS AMOUNT FOR THIS PHONE CALL!

I just got a call from 866-823-6977. I didn't answer and now I'm glad I didn't. Who are these people?

I have gotten so many damn phone calls from this number. Once I was able to get someone and they gave me all kinds of bull about having won a sweepstakes. I almost fell for it too. The girl mentioned that I could receive magazines for free and also enter into a draw for a cruise. I was like OK but let me make sure "I'm not gonna get charged for anything right?". Her response "No this a totally free giveaway." I was thinking SWEET. Then she said something that really got me pissed. She goes "Just let me make sure that I got the information right DO you dtill live at..." then she proceeded to say my exact address. I asked "How is it that you know my Address? Who are you working for?" She then said that she works for VISA and that her company is based out of LAKE TAHOE. Then she transferred me to her "Supervisor" some corny ass prick who starting asking me for my "Billing Information". I was like "What the hell are you talking about I didn't agree to buy anything a**hole!" then he goes "sir please you agreed you'd purchase a magazine subscriptions for a chance to enter the sweepstakes." I responded "No way! The girl told me everything was free. I specifically asked her 'I'm not gonna charged for anything right?' and now you're trying to charge me.Hell no. F**k that s**t.:" Then he goes on to ask me why I cant afford to spend 4$ a week for his company when I spend $4 on junk food, and garbage everyday and that really pissed me off. I said "I spend my money on what I want to spend my on. Your not gonna tell me what to spend my money on. If i spend $4 on junk food its cuase I want that junk food. I'm not gonna spend $4 a week for you for something I don't even want in the first place, no matter how good a deal you tell me it is." His response "So you don't want those magazines" my response "No I dont want those Damn Magazines" his response (disgusted) "Ughh!" then the f***en prick hung up. This was 2 months ago and I since cancelled my Visa and got a new one just in case. I still receive calls from this number but no one answers when I pick up. I call back and receive what seems to be a fax line. I wanna know who these people are and where they live because they know where I live. If your reading this and you work for that damn company then i want you to go to that address and come see what I spent $1300 on last week. I bought it just for you. I intend on using it too when the government finally finds out where you guys are making your phone calls form. And they will too so expect to see me at your door step pretty soon. You telephone scamming, annoying [***].

Two calls so far today. One when i was at work and the other when i was driving. Didn't pick up though.

What do you have to do to make this stop?  They are harassing people.

The best direction I can give anyone who gets phone and emails from people they do not now, is to not respond especially if they do not leave a message.  We live in a world were people think they have to answer every phone call and email.  NOT SO.  If caller does not leave a message, then their call was not important.  Place the phone number in your cell phone directory and tag it as do not ring.  Problem goes away.
