I got a call from a Ms. Gennero at about 7:30pm at my home on Tuesday 2/26/08. Ms. Gennero said she was with Abrams, Burke & Associates L.L.C.  She said that she was trying to collect a debt from my ex-wife. I gave her my ex-wife’s phone number. A short while later Ms. Gennero called me back to say that my wife was refusing to pay and would I be willing to pay her debt.

Ms. Gennero sent me an email with a version of Word that I could not open even though my computer is only two years old. It came from this address:

abrams burke abramsburke@live.com

On another attempt, Ms. Gennero sent me another email without the Word attachment:

When I called the number listed, I got directly connected to Ms. Gennero’s voicemail.

After a number of phone calls between Ms. Gennero, my wife and myself, I told her I would pay the debt if she would send me official paperwork through the mail. Ms. Gennero got angry, said that I had just wasted her time, and hung up on me.

MARSHALL&ZIOLKOWSKI ENTERPRISE (A.K.A. Abrams, Burke & Associates L.L.C.) made an inquiry on my credit report today.

I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the NY Attorney General, and the Florida Attorney General.

I have a GOOD attorney. That website explains how to sue them. I am willing to travel to see these folks behind bars.

Are you sure these are the same people? Abrams, burke, and associates called me today and threatened me with a lawsuit over a debt from 8 years ago. They  made sure to tell me about everything on my credit report and even that they knew what my father did before they retired. I'm sure they cant do anything because the company they said they were representing sold the debt a long time ago. I told mrs. generro that i knew it was a scan and that i would be reporting her and she told me to do whatever i wanted.

when a debt is sold it does go from the last date of paymant.  Debtors try to understand the law but again are deaf to the fact u owe the bill.    to avold paying the bill you make up every excuse in the book every lie u can conger up to avoid    credit card companies loose out because people try to pay the bill then something happens were they cant pay    be advised there are other debt buyers who will gladly collect the money that is owed so because something is charged off dont think u dont have to pay you do have rights but so do we

so I see you're aware that everyone knows about your scam. and you must be stupid if you think i didn't check up on the law. yes, you can threaten  and lie all you want, but the statute of limitations runs out (in sc) 3 years after the original debt, not after some scavengers buy it. and in my case that was 8 years ago. and you need to get your story straight. don't tell me that a company that i don't even owe anything to anymore (because they sold it) is going to sue me. you need to get better at your job, or find a new one.

do these people ever send anything by mail or do they just call and harrass you??  How often do they go to your local courts and attempt to sue you??

i guess you aren't reading the same credit report i am. i can see the payment schedule and the last payment i made was in 2000, so you're right. it wasn't quite 8 years ago. but close enough. all that matters is that it was longer than 3 years ago anyway. and i'm not going to go into the whole reason it wasn't paid, because it really isn't any of your business. you think people who don't pay debts to credit card companies are so horrible. but do you honestly feel good about yourself after a day of lying to people? does that make you any better than me?

This Mrs. Gennero, sounds like the same person that contacted me, using a different name.  They are scam artists, beware!!  Same address for Abrams,Burke & assoc. and Marshall & Ziolkowski. File complaints!!  If you call the phone # they used to answer Marshall & Ziolkowski now when I called they answer Abrams, Burke & Assoc. when I asked for M & Z they said they would transfer me their next door, but they needed my name in order to do that. They need stopped. File complaints with BBB, Atty Gen., FTC you can go online and do it.  We need to stop them, the more people who file, the quicker we can stop them.

This is a scam beware!! Same thing happened to us. Same debt, same settlement amount.  I talked to this Rus Silverberg, the lady in question was going by Miss Davis. The company is Marshall & Ziolkowski a.k.a Abrams Burke & Assoc. They need to be stopped. File complaints, Call local authorities, contact lawyer.
