got the static noise and hangs up..

They have called 2 times in the last two days. And before that they had called several different times. They never leave a message.

got a call at 0936 I was watching Dave Chappelle when my cell rang but I was watching Dave Chappelle so I did not answer after starting my morning laughing my [***] off I checked my phone and realised I did not recognise the phone number from caller ID and they did not leave a message so I called them back, there was static and a hang up waiting and no voice.  After reading your post I think I am going to call them and sell them this card

I also received a call from 866-383-0986 (which I suspect is from the same organization) on 2007-08-06 at 1526.

The operator sounded Indian for all four calls.  On the oldest call, they wanted to send me a medical card from the government.  I did not answer the next two calls.  On the most recent call, they just wanted to talk "to their Indian friend," who they kept claiming is me.

I am not their friend.

This call is probable some sort of scam.

Received call this a.m.I couldn't understand much about what he was saying.When I asked him to repeat,he got really angry.Told me I was stupid.
Finally gave a name of John Robinson.He then said something about my social security.I told him to not call me again.He said he will call me anytime he wants.When I asked my husband to take the other phone he hung up on us.Tried calling back but only static.

Called me, I answered and no response after a few "hellos" by me. Tried to call back, and got static and it hung up. I am on the do not call list...this will be reported by me

The same man as aboved called and said something about my credit card debts.  I informed him of my bankruptcy and he said "no worries then have a good day" and hung up.  I thought the number was going to be a collector which is why I picked up....I think he said that he was calling from "Attorneys...somthing or another"...anyway that's what happened to me.

Called both yesterday and today at about 9:00 AM EDT. Did not answer yesterday but did today.  No one there, just static.  Tried to call back - just static.

I got 4 calls today. The caller said nothing and wouldn't respond to me. At the last call I waited on the line for 5 minutes, but the caller never hung up.

Calls several times a day for last week or so. I don't answer and they don't leave a message.

My mom (87 years old) got  a call after she was asleep from this number.  She said he had an accent and couldn't understand what he was saying, but he did ask for her bank account number.  This is the second time they've called her.

I just got a call from this number . sometimes a message is heard stating "please wait while we connect you. You hear this twice and then message says we'll try again later. Once when i answered a man was speaking muslim and then laughed. Then he hung up on me.

Got a call today at 1130AM EST. A Male party who sounded Indian or Pakistani asked for me by name. Luckily, I was prepared because I received a call yesterday about the same time from 866-383-0986 and went online to research it. There was no voice on yesterday's call. These are probably the same people using 2 different numbers.
I cut the guy off immediately today telling him that I know his call is a scam, it's all over the internet- and warned him not to call again. I advised him that I would report it to the Attorney General's Office if he called me again. He did not reply other than to bang on his end of the phone to make loud noise into the receiver. Wish I had this kind of time on my hands! I never found out what he was trying to scam me out of because I cut him off before he had a chance to say anything to me.

Same stuff with me...got a call from a man with a thick Indian accent. HE said he was calling about a debt something like BEC or BECD...I could not understand. I politely asked to speak with manager,,,hoping to get someone I could better understand. He hung up.

Have called numerous times

I have had 2 calls now from this 866-828-0261 number.  They want information about my college loans and amounts.  I wisened up tonight!  I told them it was none of their business and he started laughing and saying "oh my God", that ticked me off!  Than he wanted my social security #, again told him it was none of his business!  He didn't like me much!!

I told him not to call me and have a nice day and HUNG UP!!

Becareful with these people!  They think they are quick but real pains in the [***]!!

they called me. got that recorded message when I picked up. figured it was complete garbage and hung up.  I am on the do not call list and I just reported this number.  I would encourage everyone else to do the same.

got 2 calls recently with a recorded message saying please wait etc. then hangs up, very annoying tying up my bus phone!

I keep getting calls from this number, the man sounds like he is from India. He keeps inquiring about the status of my student loans. I told him I wasn't interested. Ha said he isn't selling me anything and is very rude. I usually get these calls when I am at work, so I don't answer, when I do answer it's the same man!
