A message was left on my answering machine from Carrie Warren saying that a there was complaint pending acting had a red flag come across her desk and to call back.  The number was 866-828-2418.  I called back and gave the reference number and they couldn't find it at first. They asked again and said hold on and transfer me to someone.  a woman answer the phone and I started asking questions like what is your name and id.  Cindy and id 569. I asked for her Supervisor name and id but wouldn't give it too me.  She started getting upset and said how do I know who i'm speaking with and I said you have the information.  She asked what my last 4 SSN was and I said i'm not giving that infomation out.  Than she asked for my first 3 SSN and told her i'm not saying and that I would give the information to my attorney's office.  Cindy asked what there name was and I said that I will have them give you a call back.  I will see if they call back later tonight or over the weekend and I will contact an attorney on Monday.

I got a phone call from this number and they answered it legal department. They wouldn't tell me exactly who they were.  They told me that I owed over $17,000.00 and that I was going to be summons.  They wanted to know my debit card information.

I received a call from 866-828-2418.  The guy on the phone said he was "Michael Jones."  I get phone calls all the time for people who do not and have not lived at my address.  This Michael Jones said he wanted to talk to this other person.  I told him he did not live here.  Michael Jones said for me to give this guy his phone number and a case number.  It sounded like a scam to me.  He wanted my name ... I did not give it to him and hung up.

Yes they called my HR dept.!   They informed me and I called 866 828 2418. They will not tell you who NRG is and they answer the phone "legal dept" they also called my friends house and said they would be comming over to serve me there. I'm not hard to find. Why would a real bill collector try and serve me at her house in a state i've never lived in. They are fishing! Scamming! Beware!

Received it today, Sep. 21 from Don Woods in CA. He had a document of a court summons with my name and address and wanted to know if I would be home to receive it Thurs. If not, then "these kind of documents get sent back and delay the court hearing." I was welcome to call this 1866 number and give them a document number to find out more. I live in TX and can't think of any reason a company would call me like this.

Has anybody ever got served papers from this company before. I had e-mailed them and Anthony Stevens called me and left a message saying for me to call him that he wouldnt talk to me by email.

replying to the messages i read online about the same comapny or people who have been calling trying to scam people of their indentity and personal information, well i have decided to contact the fbi and also my local police station and file a complaint and also i am going to pursue with this matter further, and make sure there is something that can be done to stop these harassing phone calls and threatening messages..

i dont know what this call is about, i have no business with this comapny or who ever they r claiming to be, personally i think that are a scamming company who is trying to get people personal info and scam them out of money

what did u do when they came to serve u, they did the same thing to me trying to tell me that i would be served the next day, if i did not pay them the money the following day, to prevent going to court..

Do not give them any information. They are a scam to get money. They somehow have my husband's credit report or something because they have all our previous addresses and every credit and loan we have.

I got a call from 2418 my asst nurse got the call I called back and had my asst do some resrch this company said exactly what it said it was going to do I went to court and lost the case because i was not thinking reading to many false statements about scams.. but this was no scam i lost and paid 2x what i owed,, listen to the information and ask questions about situation but verify with bank not gossip on the net

Ask for their address. And tell them you need a physical address, they will not provide one for you because it is a scam. And Mary is behind all of it.

I started getting these calls after I received an e-mail regarding my school financial Aid / Student Loans were beginning to be processed through another agency.

The calls all came to my aunts house (where I lived when I started college) and she just received a call stating that they were trying to serve me with a court summons, gave her a case number, and would not giver her any additional information.  She told them that I don' live there (I don't) and they asked her to pass on the phone number and case number.

I have also recently received a number of e-mails asking me to call an 866 number in order to pay off my tuition at 50%.  I blocked the e-mails, and only pay my tuition directly through the school.

In hindsight, I wonder if these events are coincidence or if they are related???

Called this month and even gave me case number apparently when you call this 1866 it says you have called COrporate Energy what does this mean?

i was called at work... so i called this number, and i had some sort of credit collectors after me ... they were taking me to court but they were so nice, and helped me resolve this out of court... thanks

They called a distant relative of mine saying that I had a warant out for my arrest in her county. I've never been to that county, let alone, that area of the country. I called and spoke with an incredibly rude woman who said it wasn't a scam and that they were going to take my house and garnish my wages for a credit card that I have NEVER had (they said MasterCard and I've only ever had Visa DEBIT cards). This is ridiculous, if they were legit they would easily be able to find my address and my phone number, not calling distant relatives in other states.

My neice just got a call from some company stating that her cousin (my nephew) had to sign some papers because they were going to be served and the company provided a case number.

I looked online thru the Clerk of Courts and saw that this case belonged to another person.

Legal case numbers (in miami) usually have a 2 digit numbers in front which represent the year. Following that is the case number. Example: 11 54321

Then they provided a 1-866-828-2418 number and they didn't even answer their phone.

Whenever your going to be served papers, they usually don't call you warning you about it. That would be stupid. They just show up at your front door with papers.

Don't leave any messages on these companies voicemail. If you owe money or you suspect someone might have used your personal info, check with your clerk of courts and Equifax.

Don't let them put fear in you.
