I got a call at work saying I was going to be served a summons and complaint. When I called the number they could not tell me the court where the alleged suit had been filed and they refused to give me a physical address. They use scare tactics and they are a scam.

I have been getting calls from these people ( NGR Northern Resources Group) a few times a day for a little over a month, when I finally did call them back, they said I owed them money from a MC credit card I took out in 2005, I said really, so WHY ARE YOU CALLING ME NOW, since this was discharged.  I finally was transferred to someone who said my lawyer was horrible because they didn't notify them and I could disregard the calls and the would straighten it out.  Course I looked online after and found out they are a total SCAM company.  http://www.collectorsexposed.com/forum/index.php?/topic/3411-northern-resources-groupnrg/

It's obvious you work for them - only way you could have a "success" story!  They keep calling asking for my daughter. We don't answer. Same script as a woman who called a few months ago. This one is actually calling from a local cell phone but leaves the 2418 number - says he's from Washington, etc, has an accent. Definitely a scam.

I recieved a disturbing phone call yesterday from 330 4343513 a man stated that he tried to serve legal papers to an old address of mine, and needed to verify my new address i assured him that the old one was correct, and volunteered to pick up the papers. he kept saying that he was calling from summit county, I was a debt collector for many years, and was very good at skip tracing and finding people who did not want to be found.  so I immediatily thoughth this was a collector, so i disconnected the call, he called back and left a voice mail demanding that i call 18668282418 case number 362211.  I called the number got a recording that said I reached mjr and to leave a message

got same call as u posted and i have them recorded on both my cell and my home saying they r from the county processors office if u need it i can provide it for you good luck

I am a collection manager and your are right. This company is hiding there name so they wont be sued. Sad really. How do they expect to get paid. This type of thing gives real collectors a bad name and make my job a hole like harder.

I typed in their phone number on the BBB and the name of the company said northstar acquisition. The address and phone number was the same as Northern Resources Group.
