I started getting calls on 12/11 from the following numbers:
866-834-2446, 866-615-0531, 866-811-5719, 866-897-5308, 866-672-3304, multiple times per day.  Only today, after I got a call from QVC asking me if I had purchased 2 cameras for $800 (fraud - I didn't order them but the person who ordered used my Capital One card), did I check the numbers and they all go back to this Alliance.  I don't owe anyone any money.  No one answers when I pick up the calls.  In one of these threads I found anumber for Alliance and a very nice person helped me.  I told her I wanted to know why they were calling me.  She looked up my number and told me they were looking for my ex husband.  I just said I didn't know the name and she said she'd take me off the internal list and I should not receive any more calls from them.  

Funny about my ex...its been years since I had any contact with him and I hsve no idea where he is.  I do not use his name and my phone number has never been associated with him in any way.  I have an unlisted, unpublished number and am on the national do not call list.

I went on line to find out who is this 1866-834-2446 that calls my phone ten times a day, thanks to reading you guys comments above it helps alot.i have a disable son with more important things to do. i get a new phone service and a month later, calls from this number 18668342446 or 18668975308 im not a phone person anyway.and all my family calls under a name title so i don't bother with unknown callers. our lord jesus christ will take care of us, my phone is on low ring all day long if my phone don't say aunte or mom or sis, steve why should i answer.

This number, and many others alike, call me about fifteen times a day.  I have never answered because I screen my calls but they have left maybe two messgaes. All asking for 'Bryan', my ex for over two years.  Apparently this is a collection agency and he had put MY number on all of his bills.  All of the following numbers have tried to contact me.  Watch out!  They are out to get you or whoevers money!!

At least 12 calls today-- don't leave messages on machine.  Picked up after first ring, she asked for Laurie, I said no Laurie here, who are you?  She hung up.  PLEASE make them stop!!

Relentless........ended up turning all phone ringers off , contacted the people that matter to me , switched cell plan and am exclusively using cell. This number has actually helped me save $20 a month by getting rid of home phone so whoever it is THANK YOU !!!!!

They call every day starting at 8am and not quitting till 9pm. I do not answer any toll free numbers and they never leave a message.

These clowns call from about 6 different 1-866 numbers and they are relentless. I don't deal with Capitol One and never will. I pay all my bills on time so this is a harassing telemarketer/scammer. I reported them as harassing to the FCC on Form 1088B. I will never answer these calls. Have good cell phone plan now and have considered cancelling land line. Good advice from (above)CleDude. My phone is now a real pain!

I called this number back a few times after dozens of non-messages from the caller. I always got a "Sarika" with a foreign accent who, each time, immediately thanked me for calling and asked for my Capital One Card Numbers. (I don't own one.) I never respond, and after "Sarika" repeats "hello?" several times, she stops the call.

I rcvd a call from this number 3 times within the last 2 hours.  I did not answer.  When I call back, a lady named Lois answered and the company that she mentioned was Alliance!

If they are calling your cell phone, even if you are the person they are looking for, make sure to tell them that they are calling your cell and tell them to stop. It only takes a verbal request to stop calling you on your cell phone, but it takes a written request for a landline. But sounds like this company is trying to make it as difficult as possible for you to get them to stop so you may have to request calls to stop from all numbers but I'm not sure. From all the different posts I've seen from these numbers this place has no problem breaking FDCPA laws anyways.

Getting 10 calls a day from this number.
Do not have any outstanding debts, and my number is on the "do not call registry"  what can you do to block this number

I receive calls from this number about 4-5 times a day. It is so annoying. I don't answer numbers that don't leave a message but I can see why they don't leave a message after reading the above posts!

What's most annoying is not just the calling & not leaving a msg; but they actually wait 1 sec after the coicemail picks up SO my phone still shows "1 new voicemail", which I have to go into & then delete! So it would actually be easier for me if they "just hung up."

May I now say I am now a member of your club.
I did get someone to answer by calling the number back.
But blocked my number.
I called till someone picked up, I told them I wanted to speak to the person in charge.
I got the she can't come to the phone because she is with someone.
I said I will call and call till she gets off the phone.

This time they got someone who said she was in charge.
I then  said things like my client has ask you to not call, now I'm invoved.
You have no reason to call but will ask you what you think gives you the right to call her?
I gave no names, nothing.
I did get we have to know the number in order to remove it, so I said I will give you the number with the idea that you know you have been warned and this call is recorded.
The person at once said it may take up to 2 days to get the message to everyone but your number has been removed.
Remember we have rights to be left alone if we wish.

These people have been calling me and my husband for the past week non stop! The thing that is most annoying is we answer and say "Hello" and no one says anything. Then 10 seconds later they just hang up. What the heck?? It's very frustrating! And when we don't answer they wait for it to go to voicemail and don't even leave a message but stay on the phone long enough that my phone constantly tells me I have a voicemail. So so frustrating! I'm calling my cell provider and having the numbers blocked asap!
