....SECOND call that I didn't answer this evening ...... NEVER any message left ..... intend to report this to my phone service provider......

I too received a call from this number. They did however leave a message, it sounded like a heartbeat.  Weird.

no answer... it's weird because I get a lot of these unknown-type numbers and nobody ever says anything.  as if i were talking to empty space, not fun!  plus I singed-up for national do-not-call-list... so stop calling me!!!  sheesh

I am getting calls from 1-866-841-7507 several times a week. They hang up each time I take a call. No messages.

Writing here is useless. Just block their number on your phone so that the phone does not ring (if you have such a function).

I missed two calls from this number yesterday and was able to answer one today.  They said they were calling on behalf of Verizon Wireless and knew my name.  She said she had some type of free phone offer for me and asked if now was a good time to talk. I said no.

How many of you have Verizon Cell Phones numbers?  I've read several places that the calls are originating directly from Verizon.  I will discontinue my service with Verizon if this is the case - I'm off contract.

I wonder if this is a marketing attempt to get people back into a contract - does anyone know?

I've received a phone call from this number every day for the past week. I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer.  But got tired of them calling so I called them back.  They stated that my cellular company had requested that they call me, couldn't give me a reason why.  I contacted Verizon and they did confirm that this is a legitimate company that they use for promotional services.  Apparantly one of my phones is eligible for upgrade.  I will answer the next time they call and hopefully get more information.

I have 5 different calls on my cell phone from this number- same thing - I don't answer and they don't leave a message. Who is this? Anyone have a clue?

This number has called me, literally 10 times in the past two weeks, twice daily both today and yesterday... The call me in the middle of the day while I am at work, and call me as late as 8:00 at night.  I finally answered and got nothing, tried calling back two different times and got a machine asking me to leave my number and they would call me back.  No thanks.

I live in Lexington, KY, and I am a Verizon Wireless Customer.  This is the first time anything like this has ever happened to me, and I've been with Verizon for over 6 years now.

I just got this call, and apparently they ask if you would like to stick with Verizon for another year. They did ask for the last 4 of my SSN.

I recieved the call that you are all talking about.  They hung up and when I called them back, they didn't answer.  I got on here and started to read all of the other comments.  As I was doing so, I recieved another call from this number.  I answered it and it was a representitive from Verizon Wireless.  She was calling to see if i wanted to renew my contract.  My contract had just ended a week or so ago.  I talked with her for a while and she offered me a promotional deal.  I did take the deal, but worried that it could be a hoax, so I called Verizon Wireless directly and spoke with someone else.  The person I spoke with at Verizon did verify that it was indeed a valid courtesy call and that the promotion was added to my account.  The person did tell me that when they are doing these kind of calls that they do use an automated system and that sometimes it glitches out and causes phone calls to go out and then drop.  I hope this helps maybe ease some of you concerns.

I got a call from that number. It's from Verizon wireless's main headquarters. They made me a legitimate offer to upgrade my phone for free. I had to give very minimal info - and it all seemed fine. I called after i told the person sure, give me the free upgrade, gave her my partial address, and social, and it was done.

I called verizon myself, and got confirmation that I indeed talked to a legit verizon employee.


Sometimes 866 numbers are rented. Maybe verizon just bought the line, and didn't realize it had a bad history, but I can vouch it's at least from Verizon.

I got this call 3 times in one day..was not home to answer it and no message left. I just thought it was weird to call 3 times..10 minutes apart each time.

I just got two calls from this number about 10 minutes apart. The first time I answered no one was there, just dead air. The second time a foreign woman was on the other line wanting to speak to me on behalf of some company called Bryan something or other in regards to my Verizon account. I'm not sure if the rest of you are verizon customers or not. I just told her I wasn't interested and we both hung up. Hopefully they will stop calling me.

I have received 2 calls from this number today. The first they called I didn't answer it. When I picked up the phone to call someone, there was no tone. I clicked off and on many times, and finally got my dial tone back. When they called back and picked up and didn't say anything. A woman came on saying, "Hello, hello?" I didn't say anything and she said "This call will be terminated due to no answer in 3...2...1..." and hung up. Not sure who it is, but if they call again, I'm going to ask.

I answered the call, there was silence, a "click" and then I answered again, "Hello, this is Bill." A lady asks "May I speak to William?"

Hmm...ok.

"Uh, he's not here, can I take a message for him?" "No message. This is a courtesy call from Verizon Wireless. Thank you!" Click!

Call every night at 6:00 PM.  No one is there apparently

I have been a Verizon customer for 6 years now and I am totally annoyed with their marketing.  I received calls from the below number on 11/9; 11/12; and 11/13.  I NEVER pick up my phone when they call.  I am off contract and due for a phone upgrade.  I ALSO REQUESTED TO BE TAKEN OFF THEIR MARKETING PLAN!  Verizon is not supposed to share my information - this is totally bogus.  Does anyone have Verizon Corporate contact information?  Please post here and flood Verizon with complaints so this stops.

got a call from this number and they claimed to be from verizon and said that I was going over my minutes (I've only used half of my minutes)
