Called me too  SCAM as I do not have an account.

Yup, scam. They called me too....This is fraudulent!

They left a voicemail for my husband asking him to call back about a possible problem with our M&T Bank debit card. We don't have an account with them. DO NOT CALL BACK.

recieved robo call claiming to be M&T bank with a fraud alert on my card.  asked to stay on line and give card number and other identifying info.

Also got a robo-call. I did use my debit card at an M&T ATM recently, so this was potentially legit. Thanks for all your comments- I checked with my bank and everything looks okay.

Received a call from this number "alerting" me to fraud on my M & T account about 20 minutes ago. I actually have an M & T account, and the voice on the recording sounded identical to the robo-voice M & T uses when you call them. So I typed in my account number. Then they asked for my PIN. Being only 1/2 idiot, I realised I was being conned and hung up before giving it to them. Even a 1/2 idiot like me knows not to give out my PIN to a robocall.

This number has been VERY busy. They called my cell and I did not pick up, but they did leave a message/ Most interesting is that, yes, they called about my nonexistent M & T atm card, BUT if you were out of the country they actually left  a number to call 716-842-4470.This number DOES belong to M&T om West Huron street  in Buffalo NY!!!!  The plot thickens!!!

I got the same call about 2 minutes ago. For one, whywould you need to give your whole card number to talk to customer service? Besides, I don't have an account with M&T. I have a NY cell number but live in Louisiana. There are no M7T banks down here. LOL

Wow this number has been busy all these comments are mins apart lol, yes it is a fraud, I have suddenly been getting a bunch of calls like this since getting an insanely high insurance quote from liberty mutal. This site has helped me alot with these recent calls for I am in cc debt and wanted to check how legit these were,

Received automated call from (866) 848-3385 on 6/21/2015 and fhey claimed to have detected fraud on my debit card through M&T Bank.  Smells like a Pfishing scam.  Blocked the number.

Didn't pick up and I received a voicemail that had Siri reading off a script about M&T bank fraud and that I should call some number.  Don't have an account with them, so it's a phishing scam.

i called back three times and gave them three different actual cc numbers. I am such an idiot!! Did not give codes

Got a call from this company went to voice mail. Said they were investigating fraud on my debit card. Checked my email alerts nothing. This is a scam

Fake robo call scam says M&T Bank ( Buffalo / WNY) Attempts to get you to put in credit card , pin and exp. date #'s.
So some a hole can steal your $$$

Got a voicemail from this number stating they were the Fraud Detection Department at M&T Bank (banks calling on a Sunday??) and there was fraudulent activity on my account. This is a bank in Buffalo, NY and I live in Colorado (still have a 518 number though). Never banked with them. The end of the message does give the phone # 716-842-4470 which Google says is the actual bank's number, but the bank's website gives a different # 800-724-2440 to call regarding fraud. They put some effort into it but I still think it's a scam.

Called saying they were my bank and left message. Asked for card number and I fell for it. Then they asked for access code. Luckily I just changed it and forgot it.
I called my bank. They are robo callers/scammers. Cancelled my card, and locked my account.
I can`t believe I fell for that.

I got the same call and they left the same local number. I don't have an M&T account.

I checked the number online and saw this list of others who had the same scam call.  I am adding mine to the list.  We don't have any accounts at M&T Bank.  I do not have any debit cards.  How did they get my cell phone #?

Called me and left a message also. Called the actual M&T number back and they confirmed nothing wrong with my account and that the message was fraud.
