This number is still calling me in large numbers everyday  a message was left once in an Indian or Pakastani voice saying it was CIBC investments  , usualy the messages are nothing but dead air however I have had 2 messages recently left stating that a suspicious charge attempt to my credit card at 5 AM in the morning and that if this was not my charge to press 1 immediatly to talk to a VISA security officer or call 647-957-9363  the recording is computewrised female voice of poor quality messing up the number to call a bit.  Anyway my card is at the limit so there is no way in (you no where) that I can make any purchase on my card at the moment so I no this is a scam call.  by the way I am on a voip type phone system and if I had pressed  1  or a certain sequence of numbers I could possibly be opening up the phone for some one to make a long expensive call at my expense.  . The call display is CIBC  866-957-9363 as there is no way this is a ligitmate call

They are posing as Air Canada !!!! SCAM AND FAKE.

I received a call from this number at 08:59 Pacific today (Saturday). It was CIBC Account Management. Yes, I missed a payment against my line-of-credit. They knew the last 4 digits of my account number. So, in this case, it was a VALID call.
Of course, scammers can "spoof" the Caller-ID information, but they would not have the information about my CIBC accounts.

This is ONLY true if you work in a big business that has a switchboard operator, and you "forward" the incoming call to the operator, AND the operator can be social-engineered to place a call on your behalf ("I am having problems calling xxx-xxx-xxxx -- can you place the call for me?")
If you have a mobile phone, or a residential phone, this type of scam cannot happen.
(In that case, "spoof" them, by pretending to forward the call, and make yourself the "switchboard operator", so that you can waste their time, while listening to their scam.)

Ive gotten 2 calls from this number aftert 7pm & its Friday night.  I never answered at first.  But then i thought ifd call it bk. It was an automated voice machine.  CIBC was who it said they were.  I do not have an account with this bank. Never stepped foot inside a CIBC even.  Im blocking the number.
