- Caller: ?
- Annoyed Phone OwnerThis number called my cell. I did not answer because it is an unidentified 800#. A very broken, poorly recorded message from "Verizon Cares" promising a $45.00 credit to my Verizon account if I went on-line to Verizon45.com and registered. I was skeptical (since when does any large corporation "care" enough to give free money?). I contacted the real Verizon and was emphatically told that this is a SCAM!!!!!!! DO NOT respond to this call/message.
Verizon has had reports of customer accounts "hijacked" via this method - think about it: in order to register you are asked to supply your Verizon account info.- Caller: Verizon Cares
- Straight TalkReceived this same unidentified caller to my Straight Talk cell. ST sits on top of Verizon as a legitimate carrier on Verizon's network, so who knows who has hijacked who.
- Caller: 866-866-7509

I asked about which AT&T account because I have 3 and they guy stumble and tried to repeat his script as I was stupid and could understand that there was from AT&T. I asked him to email me the survey and hung up!
I sounded like a SCAM... - norman replies to Mimigot similar call saying it was a verizon survey for a 20$ credit...telephone number was a sprint service line so caller id is a spoof...BEWARE!
- MacSmith****Beware FRAUD**** Just called, speaking in broken English said he was with Sprint® conducting a survey and that for answering 3 questions would receive a $20.00 credit for each line on the account. First 2 questions were innocuous, but the last one was for the 4 digit account pass code. That's when I knew for certain this was a pfishing attempt! ****FRAUD Beware****
- Caller: said they were Sprint®

- ChuckReceived the same call from this number. Said they were with AT&T and wanted to do a quick survey. I fell for it. I know...never do that. I called AT&T and added an additional security passcode. She said they are figuring out if you have an upgrade available and then go into a store and possibly purchase a phone.
- Caller: Said AT&T
- Damn phishing!Guy by name of "Manni" wanted to talk to me. Mentioned my name. No other identification. Lots of background noise of people talking do must be a "calling bank" I hung up.
- FrankSame as above. $20 credit to my next bill for answering a few questions. At the end, he asked for my pin # to access my account to apply the credit. As soon as I gave it to him, I thought it might be a mistake. I called Verizon and asked about it. They said they don't do surveys like that and immediately changed my pin and account password. An hour later I got a call from verizon asking me if I called about about adding a line and adding international calling. The caller was using the old pin #, and when pressed, he hung up. I'm buying lottery tickets tonight!!
