called but left no mesage

Call came in and I picked up; the woman simply asked "to speak with ..." and kept to that without any further elaboration.

This type of brusqueness is typical of credit collection agencies who can not legally let anyone but the subject of their call to be informed of the reason of the call. I kept asking who she was and when she said Courtney, I said " well I don't think he knows a Courtney, but I'll ask..." and then left the phone and walked away to find out. When I came back she had already hung up. ?!?

Called back but it went to someone else (different woman)- could hear background sweatshop noise, but since it was on mute they eventually hung up. No clearer yet as to who they are.

Got this call today, but when i called back got a recording stating that Robert Louis is not in the office...

keeps calling my mom's cell number asking for me, but won't elaborate on the reason for calling. not sure why they have her number since we live on separate coasts and i haven't lived at home since 2000.

Just received a call from this nr. asking for some man by his first name. Would not tell me anything at all about why they were calling from a US nr. to my country outside the US. This is irritating since the time is 11 PM in my time zone. Got a similar call from a 1-800 nr. same time last week. Really want to be left alone!

Just called the nr. back and am informed that I have reached the Intertel voice processing system.

no answer, I don't know why this number keeps calling here and they hang up every time.

Got a call at home yesterday and my son answered. They asked for me by name and when he asked who was calling they gave a name of a petroleum company but he did not remember the name. I called the number from the caller ID and it just hangs up immediately and give s busy signal.

Got the call again and when my recorder beeps, and man says "hello" a couple of times. I know it's a trick for someone to pick up the phone thinking it might be a friend.  Don't they realize that I have caller I.D. and it shows an #800??   [***]!!

Keep calling me for someone named sandra.  i say this is the wrong number but they continue to call back and back day and night.  How can I block this type of call?

Have been getting calls from this number almost daily but when you answer they put you on hold or hang up, finally this morning after some music a woman asks for someone who used to live in the apt we have now and said my number had been given as a reference number????????????  Did not identify themselves either, guess the cost of freedom is everyone else is free to do what they want to. I am getting calls from here to - they won't identify themselves.  I asked who it was twice and was told "I just told you who I am" can can you verify you name and address for me.

You mean - you - who won't tell me who you are - want me to give you my address and name??

Calvary Collections. They seem to change their number alot

This is a boiler room type company that is cold calling. If they say you owe debt get the name of the original company and contact that company and find out who the debt was sold to and go from there.

Called my phone asking for stepdaughter said she gave my number as reference on important business matter

Just got a call from this place, Caller ID just said TOLL FREE CALL which tells me STAY AWAY!!!

Live caller, a debt collector, I'm sure, looking for so-and-so with my last name.  I blessed her out and hung up, she comes off as being real friendly, and regrets her calling you, which is all part of the game.  Get these type cars a lot also, even though I'm on the do not call list, which I'm beginning to think is a joke, in itself!
