I live in Sask and I get this phone call on my CELL - so they are definitely not using the white pages to do their calls.  I also didn't pick it up, and don't have voice mail.

Just received a call on my cell phone from this number with a recording about "debt troubles".

Just got a call from this number on my cell that went to voicemail, then I called it back using the FREE phone feature in Gmail. A recorded message played, then I hit 8 and a real person answered. I then hung up.

I got a call from this number (1-866-873-6222) on my cell phone. I never answered. I'm living in Newfoundland, and my cell has a Newfoundland number. If it is an Ontario company, it's weird they're calling across the country.

I'm in NB and just received this call on my cell. Normally telemarkters use the yellowpages, right? Not sure how they came up with this number. I never answer number I don't know, I'm trying to find an app on my blackberry that will reject the calls completely from everyone but your address book. Haven't found one yet.

I would like to know how they got my cell number?  called twice today!

What I would like to know is how they got my cell number it is  private and unlisted.Only friends and family have it.I live in Sask. I have never answered the call.

It's just a scam "Press 1 to XXXX"

Some BS about wanting a debt consolidation service in my area.

I'm in Newfoundland as well, and just received this call on my unlisted cell (For which I've owned the number 6 years).

These guys are calling my cell and I don't give that number out except to family as I don't want to be bothered! there should be a law!

Calls to Newfoundland as well and now they have access to cell phone #'s. How do these people get access to #'s that are supposed to private?? At lease 2 calls per day on my cell phone and 4-6 calls per day on my home phone. There is at lease 12 different phone #'s recorded in the past 6 months, good thing I registered with the DNC last year, what a joke.

Just answered this call. A recorded voice asked 3 questions about credit debt. At the end I was offered to press 9 to be taken off this list. I pressed 9, now the waiting game begins........... The waiting game sucks.. LET'S PLAY HUNGRY HUNGRY HIPPOS!!!

They left a message on machine  - re credit card debt. Our first day with Call Screening, have
registered them. Wish us luck, we are in B.C.

I had my number and the next day i get the same call at the same time from the same number

I called them back at 1-866-873-6222 and they removed the number they called as well as my fax and home phone number - It was a debt assistance program

Everyday I have a 1866 number calling the rental home which is not exactly looking great to clients who are  staying with us. They called once from the 18668736222 number and not even ten minutes later they called from 18663978093. I picked up and told them that this was a business and that their non stop calling everyday was not fair to the people paying to stay with us. She informed me that we would be put on a Do Not Call list and that it would take 30 days to go through.

I find this very annoying considering I am having to look up each 1866 number and I have spoken with them before and they assured me we would be removed. This has been going on for over a year and our guests are normally the ones to complain or to let us know that someone is trying to reach us.

Stop harassing people by phone! You were not invited to do so!
Stop your scamming "services" by you telephone harassment!

Canadian, provincial and municipal governments need to put a stop to constant harassing calls from numerous numbers to "drum up" business that is not requested!
