Calls our house but then does not say anything when we answer, just wasting both our time. If it is collections it's probably someone trying to find my mother in law for medical bills, she has never lived here, I think they find our number in her emergency contacts she gives when she checked into a hospital or clinic. These places keep calling us asking us to get ahold of her and give her messages. They can do their own job and track her down or just message her on facebook.

I received a call from this number claiming that they are a collection agency.  I do not owe any money to anyone.  I suspect that this is a scam just to get some money from some unsuspecting person.  I am not going for it.

This is a debt collector. Never agree to pay ANYONE over the phone other than the actual creditor and then, I advise doing so by mail using a money order. These people will drain your bank account and claim it was a mistake, and then try to tell you it cannot be reversed. They are sneaky and tricky.  It's their job to separate you from what money have.

Well, good luck with that, as my sole source of income is Social Security. They are wasting their time if they think they can "separate" me from that.

Do not call me again

Received a call from this number.  They claimed they were a collection agency collecting a $650 debt from 2006.

I gave them a legitimate mailing address and to send me their documentation via certified mail. If I indeed owe somebody money, it would have been an honest mistake and I would certainly pay the balance immediately via a money order.  She became argumentative saying "it was too late for that and that they were going to pursue a more serious action but that she could send me a form right now via text message to take care of this. blah blah blah."

Anyway, whoever I spoke with was pretty articulate and convincing. However, I'm 99% sure this is a SCAM!

Would not tell me what it was all about

This number just called me leaving a voice message of a man saying "We have an important message from Wakefield and Associates. This is a message from a debt collector please call 866-878-7953... 800-221-5431."

After looking at Wakefield and Associates website the following numbers are the only ones on there page. 1-800-864-3870 to make a payment. Customer hotline 1-855-426-7977. Then 3 other numbers to contact them which are: 1-800-864-3870, 1-303-537-2900, & 1-303-537-2901

I believe it is a scam.

Called twice in 2 minutes.  Left a voicemail the first time.  It was a foreign man. I couldn't understand him.  Said he was a collection agency looking for someone not living here.

So this guy QUICKLY states " You have an appointment with us. This  is a debt collector and any information will be used by a debt collector please call me back at 866-878-7953". He sped up as  the message went on. Made it sound like he was  confirming  an appointment.  Sneaky [***]! But  you have  the WRONG person!   If a  debt  collector pulls that kind of stunt  they  must not be legit. Be careful! They called from 844 554 0404 but left another number to callback shameful practice. .. No wonder people don't pay

Yep, I got the feeling it was a scam!! They had some information on me, just not sure how they got that. We talked for a minute and it seemed to go in a circle.....

Guy said he was from Wakefield and assoc looking for a Mr. Jackson. Either wrong number of fishing for information.

Male called said he was Wakefield and Associates. Left a message very hard to understand. Wife had to tell me what the message said as I couldn't understand his message. No idea what debt is talking about.
