Wakefield and assoc debt collectors probably for my mother-in-law hospital bill with Southern regional hospital who she set up paying them every month for a year and when asked for a new total absolutely no response until now. I suspect the hospital accounts receivable was pocketing.

Caller from Wakefield Associates. Talks very fast and doesn't address the person they are looking for. Debt collector.... 1 866 878 7953..

Man said he is calling from debt collector Wakefield & Assoc.  Asked me to confirm my DOB.  I have no outstanding debt so I'm not confirming anything!  He was quick to hang up.  Scam?  Probably.

Well, Wakefield is a debt collector and they do need to make sure that they are talking to the debtor before discussing the debt.

Called left no message. What i see here that I am not the only one getting called. I check my report no listing of this creditor so I blocked number

This is not a creditor.  A creditor is someone who you originally owed a debt to.  This is a third party debt collector.  The debt might be listed on your credit report under the actual creditor's name.
