I don't know how you got through!  I call back and it says it won't work as dialed!

We have received numerous calls from this number as well but no one ever is on the line.  When I called them back a recording which was not the usual one from the phone company, said the number was not in service.  I have just filed a complaint with the FTC and urge all of you to do the same.  Hopefully if enough people file complaints something will be done.  This is the FTC website for complaints.  https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

This has got to be a SCAM!!!  It's unbelievable that they they claim t be raising money for children with cancer.  It's impossible that these imposters are involved in any good.  

Who do I need to contact to make them stop?!?!  Seriously!!!  

I had 2 calls already today.  The first time, they hung up when I picked up the phone.  The 2nd time, a lady answered & after she asked for my husband, I replied that we have already requested that our name be taken off the list.  She then had the audacity to have an attitude & replied, "Who?  Who did you ask?  You didn't ask me!"

Truly, these calls are not only irritating & RUDE... they are unprofessional & simply unethical!!!

They asked for me.  I answered that I wasn't here.  She said she would call back later.  I wished her Goodbye and hung up.

I received my first call from the 866-896-1811 number over a year ago.  They call weekly and up to several times per day until I answer the phone - sometimes as early as 8:02 AM and as late as 8:55 PM.  If I ignore the call, they hang up after three rings and try back every 30 minutes.  If I answer and decline, they wait a couple of weeks and call back with another charity.  Tonight they called three times within two hours and when I finally answered they stated they were calling about helping children with cancer receive goody bags.  She hung up on me when I said I was not interested.  There has to be a way to remove my number from their call list...

I keep getting phone calls from this number, Since they refuse to take me off their calling lists, I decided to call forward their number to Consumer Protection Dept.  I have Clear.net telephone services which allow you to send annoying calls to another number.  The only problem is that when they catch on to what you are doing, they start calling you from another number.  So, right now I have about ten 866-numbers call forwarded to Consumer Protection Dept.

In the same boat as everyone else.  I have gotten up to five calls a day, and they just keep calling until you answer.  Again, I have also told them to take me off of their list.  They are different every time they call- children's cancer research, breast cancer research, children's wish fund, veterans, the list goes on and on.  I just want them to stop!!!!

They keep calling us repeatedly without leaving a message. Tried to return call to get them to stop and the number is supposedly "not in service."

MY NIECE DID THIS FOR A JOB FOR A SHORT TIME.THEY ARE HIRED BY ONE COMPANY TO DO THE CALLS.ONE EMPLOYEE CAN REPRESENT TEN DIFFERENT AGENCIES,SO IF YOU SAY DONT CALL AGAIN,THEY STOP FOR THAT CO. AND TURN AROUND AND CALL YOU BACK REPRESENTING ANOTHER COMPANY.THATS HOW THEY GET AROUND THE NO CALL RULE AND THATS WHY IF YOU GET THE PHONE NUMBER THEY COULD ANSWER UNDER ANY ONE OF THEIR COMPANIES THEY ARE CALLING FOR THAT DAY.I STILL DONT KNOW HOW TO BEAT THEM..

This number -866-896-1811 keeps calling sometimes 2-5 times a day when I answer no one is on the other end or if they are they don't say anything. I am so tired of this and want it to stop.

I want to be removed from these peoples calling list

It doesn't do any good to tell these people to take your name off their list. They have selective hearing. Turning them in to FTC is also a joke. I have started answering my phone using speaker phone and not saying a word. Lets see how they like dead air.

I want these calls to STOP IMMEDIATELY!

I have been recieveing calls from this number for the past week all hours of the day. They never leave a message and finally I got fed up and answered nobody even there. I tracked this number on the internet and found nothing. These jerks need to be stopped.

I got 4 calls in 6 hrs from that # yesterday.  I wasn't home to take the calls and today, when I redialed to see who it was, there was a recording saying...."This # is not in service at this time."
I don't believe it!  I believe they were getting too many call backs and went to this method!
Googled the # and all your comments came up!  Thanks for sharing....will be on my toes.

these folks call betrwwen 7 and 8p--no answer, no message-just annoyance

Every day,different time of day,receive a call.Answer machine answers it,nothing.No Message.Just a hangup. Manually answer it,no answer.  A hang up.We do not recognize this number. We have never called it.
WE ARE ON THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST.  THESE CALLS HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO THEM
AND NOTHING IS DONE.
