Payday Loan Scam similar to 866-204-0484 (same fake company). They will call family and employers. They hang up on you when you question things. The truly scary part is how much of your information they have...SS#, Bank Account #, Address, Employer...WOW! But completely bogus. CSS Mediation, Account Processing Solutions, Mesa Financial, e-litigation.

Received call saying they had formal complaint. When I wouldn't give them anything they started calling family members.

Said they have a formal complaint against me. Gave the number 866-204-0484 to call back. They called my cell too. Bogus

Received call from +1 (866) 896-7987 threatening

Just a "me-too" type of report. A robo-call from 866-896-7987 reached my cellphone voicemail while I was driving. Apparently the recording started playing while my phone carrier was telling them that I was unavailable. The message picked up in the middle and gave 866-204-0484 as the callback number, along with a threat to start the "necessary paperwork with the local county court."  I have no idea if they had my name or just my number, but it smelled like a scam to me and I'm not calling back. I got behind on a bill once and I know the scripts the legitimate bill collectors are required to use to ascertain the identity of the person they are talking to before they give out any information about the debt or the person they are trying to reach (other than the name, of course). This robo-call did not follow those procedures. If they call when I have time to deal with them, I'll answer and try to record the call -- I wonder how long I can keep them on the phone before they realize I'm scamming them and keeping them from victimizing vulnerable adults? It might be fun. (And for those who wonder about this, I live in a state where only one party is required to consent to recording of a phone call. If I record it, I'll be the party that consented!)

Just received a call on my house phone, I don't answer unknown numbers, but they left a message on my answering machine stating they were investigating a formal complaint against a one "Amanda ........." and that if I had any information on their whereabouts or contact information to please contact them immediately at their office 866-896-7987. And thanked me for my cooperation in this matter". They did not identify themselves or where they were calling from. I have no idea how they got my house number as the person they are looking for doesn't have it. I won't be calling them back but I will be telling my friend about the call!

Left mesg asking for whereabouts legal matter blah blah.... same scammers who called last month n when I refused to give them my SS# they said I would be served with court papers in 5-7 days. Yea well been a month. These people r scammers n use threat as way scare people. Please don't ever give out personal information over phone. They will never send you formal letter documenting what call is about bc they r scammers and don't have proper info.

I got 3 sec of dead air in my voicemail. I've been a victim of a phishing scam designed exactly as others have described in this thread and it's terrifying. NOT TODAY SATAN! NOT TODAY!

Got the same call from 866-896-7987 that went to voicemail.  No message was left.

This person keeps calling me its a scam trying to get money from me.

It's a total scam; spoke with my atty Generals office in AR; I keep calling back and messing with them and there's nothing they can do about it :)  I'm tying up their phone # so they can't bother other people :) :) :)

Oh restroom break and then back at them !!!!

And I will keep calling them and messing with them until my phone dies or they block my number :)  SCUMBAGS!!!

I love how they threaten you about getting arrested, I just keep blocking the different numbers they call from!!!

They called my husband saying i owe $600.00 from last September and even had my bank acct. #. Thank god that account is closed now. I tried calling back but no one answers the calls but goes to voice mail. Im not sure how they even got his cell phone number

two calls now from both of the above numbers. Sounds African American and says there is a formal complain and ask if I know ( and then give a name I do NOT know)..just deleting the calls and NEVER answer...

Just got a. Call from recording saying they are looking for me on charges of abuse and that to turn me in...I work for adult daycare

I received a call saying I had a payday loan which I never took one ever and that they were going to file charges of attempted defrauding a bank and that the bank I had confirmed the money was deposited by affidavit they confirmed it and the company said I was making payments and then quit. They knew my social who I worked for my bank name and my address. Told them to send me the info to my new residence because I want to see this. Funny thing is he said this was from 2012, we'll I quit using that bank in 2009. So how was it deposited into my account?

Received a call on my home number in which I never give out for my ex-husband whom I have divorced 7 years ago.  I called the number back and she said she would remove my number.  I started to ask questions of how they got my number and she hung up on me.
