- PBReceived a threatening call from this number about a family member "breaching a contract." Since have learned that this is a "bottom feeder" collection agency and gave them no information. The threat was to come to my address and issue a warrant. We know nothing about the situation to which they refer. Please stop this harasment.

- cheri replies to cliff| 3 repliesthese people called me for a payment from my zales acct from 2004. I'm a college student I have student loans, and grants that i have, i just got off the phone with some guy and they told me that if i don't make a payment they will issue a warrant or a summons from my county what in the world do i need to do
- Help is here.... replies to cheri| 2 repliesDo not listen to them. I just won a lawsuit with them. They cannot threaten you in any way they are going against the fair debt collecting act. Ask them to send you a validation of the debt. If they cannot do this, then you are not obligated to deal with them. Write a cease and dismiss letter and send it certified mail....here is a template http://credit.about.com/od/debtcollection/a/ceaseanddesist.htm.
Also contact the law offices of www.krohnandmoss.com they worked on my case and they were wonderful.
Most of all do not stress, they are breaking the law and do not give them your account info at all. You wait for the validation of debt and you contact a lawyer before you speak to them. - Melissa008 replies to make them stopNo they have not and they just threaten to. There are several lawsuits against them right now. They have never took anyone to court just got taken by consumers to court for unfair practices. You have to file a lawsuit first before they can issue a warrant. You can check your local court system to fond out if they filed a suit....If they have not they are telling the truth and therefor breaking the law. They also cannot discuss other credit information like other accounts with you that is against the law. Threteaning to garnish wages or sue is against the law to collect money.

- Angel| 2 repliesBrian or Michael Hansford (hard to tell what his name is because he mumbles) is the caller. WWR is a collections agency based in California. They can also be reached at 949-812-4688 and 949-812-4687 but the 866 number will let you harass them on their dime. You can also provide feedback but they don't really seem to care what you have to say so just tell them you don't know anything and hang up. Good luck!

- karina replies to commonsenseHello,
Your information is valid, and appreciated. I am 100 percent willing to testify against these individuals. - Maria replies to Michelle MooreThat is exactly what they told me. No account with HSBC and no lawsuit. When you are served, you are served, and no one tells you this right before that happens. Don't fall into this. Report this to the police.
- karina replies to confusedI am joining. Let's do this.
- bambismailbox replies to sshSo, can these guys garnish your wages or serve you with legal papers at work or not???
- Juniper replies to Angel| 1 replyMr. Brown wouldn't give me any of his information and refused to fax or email me
the information he had about me and what I owed. He said he was going to send a
sheriff over to arrest me and then they would take me to court, garnish my wages
and stick me with the legal bills. He said he would do me a favor and only
charge me $1000, but I had to get it to him by the end of the day or else! He
said he had been trying to contact me since 2006, at my college dorm! He said I
knew what I was doing by purposely avoiding him for years, when I never even
knew I was in trouble with my credit report. I never received any notices
saying there was a warrant out for my arrest. He said that it was because I
never updated my address on Experian or Equifax which isn't true. I got scammed
and I never want this to happen to anyone else.
I called my bank and filed a fraudulent charge. I hope to get reimbursed soon. But i want more than my money back, I want justice! - PEANUTSGot a call from 866-897-9058. Male Voice. Asked if my husband was home. I sadi "you have the wrong number" and hung up. I have gotten calls from these people before. How do they get my cell phone number?

- NathanI am dealing with this company, PLEASE CALL FTC AND FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT.I am dealing with an id theft and they refuse to speak with me or accept certified mail with a police report. If FTC receives enough complaints with a certain amount of time DOJ will act. They are not licensed and as such have violated several federal laws including unauthorized access to credit reports and compromising personal information.
- FrankHi Tonite (12/07/2009) I was called by a credit collector WorldWide Recoveries- when they first called they never stated their intentions. When I called back they shuffled me around a bit and acted very friendly and started asking a lot of questions and being in a groggy state from my my meds and illnesses I tried to be cordial and jsut answered but then the person Iwas talking with started getting somewhat intrusive with their questions and I tried to tell them I had no money nor am I able to work- my wife takes care of me. They never stated the miranda statement that they are trying to collect a debt and any info gained from the interaction will be used for that purpose or anything! He was impossible, rude and, i believe, breaking every law out there concerning debt collection. They are from out of state and asked me a bunch of questions and accused me of owing $7000. First said I owed Discovery Card but when I said no He said household and then state I have your acknowledgement of this debt on tape and I am going to sue you. When I called the State Attorney General he told me what to write and to call and get thei address but when I called they refuse to give me their address?
