The reson they don't talk or just hang up when we answer is it cost then money, but it doesn't if you call them back. When I see the # I just open my phone then close it. That has seemed to slow the calls down but I'm still getting them. I too have filled with the FCC. I'm not happy with verizon if that is how they got my #

Just called me again after I asked them over a month ago to take my name and number off their list. Got an attitude with me telling me to "Listen here buddy" so I cursed him the hell out. He was gonna make me say I filled out a survey when I know I didn't then trys to make me feel like I'm loosing out on a free vaction. He finally hung up after I insulted him to the max and asked why do I need to pay to stay in a Hotel in a place where I have family and friends.

I've been getting a minimum of 2 calls a day for the last 2 weeks.  These calls go to my cellphone and it's the same BS line about my filling out some survey online, blah blah.  I spoke with a Josh Tucker (who knows if that's his real name) and supposedly he is a manager there.  He claims he removed me from their list.  If I get anymore calls from them I do plan on calling Mr. Tucker back as this is ridiculous.
I let him know it's harassment and about this website.  I told him to check it out as I'm not the only one with my problem.  He said he can prove I filled out this survey that he has my IP address blah blah blah...

They had better not call back.  If anyone's having these problems I have a tip, swear at them.  I hardly ever swear, I have to be really angry and today, I was really angry.  Swearing seemed to work.

    Try it!!!  :)

Receive like 4 calls a day from 866-912-9290 but when I answer they hang up. When I call back, it claims to be Etour and Travels and they put me on hold only to have me wait for 5 minutes or more listening to their stupid elevator music and hang up because no one got back. Its annoying.

i just found this on the 866 area codes. don know how much help it will do. but here it is.

    866 Area code added
Note: This story may not be current. It is part of the IT News Archive, and exists as a historical document.

Toll free calling is growing in popularity in the US as an affordable option for companies to offer their customers. Now, the demand for additional toll free numbers has led to the creation of the new 866 area code.

Originally, only the 800 area code was designated as toll free, but as the numbers were taken for personal and business use, the 877, 888 and now 866 area codes have been added.

Toll free calls do not charge the caller for calling the number, but the toll free number's owner is charged a flat fee per minute for each call, regardless of where the call originated. This allows customers to call outside of their calling area without being charged for the call. As the demand for more toll free calls increases, new area codes should be expected to meet the need for service.

i take this as if we answer the call we get charged for it.
