Well it's not Rachel Ray that participates in that, companies find what people like to market to specific areas, they get tickets and will let you see her show. Rachel Ray probably has no idea that people have such marketing campaigns unless she were to see the ad herself.

The same goes with "Win a Free Ipod" "Free Xbox 360" "Free PS3" and so on. It isn't Apple, Microsoft or Sony doing this, it's side companies that get deals, or purchase the units, and have you sign up for the ads to get them. This way they can try to sell you enough stuff to cover more than the cost of the item you were 'getting free'.

On a Bad note, it's July 18th and I recieved a call from this number...

if any of you have just lost any important information just make sure those people who you are talking to dont get any more like bank statements and credit card info and stuff like that cause then if they wanted to they could take anything they want from you cause i have recently lost my wallet and i dont know where but i cant find it anywhere and a week later i got a phone call from this number 1-866-914-9023 and i just got a busy signal but with the technology out now they could probably find out where you live by just making a phone call ................. JUST MAKE SURE YOU DONT GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION AND YOU WILL BE FINE.

They keep calling and when I do answer they don't say anything.They just hang up and when I call back the number is busy I am tired of them calling my cell phone.Also they call around the same time every day.

This number called me three times today (Jul 18th) at 2:26pm, 6:11pm and 9:35am

I got about 5 calls from 866-914-9023 today.  This is ridiculous.  I thought calling cell numbers was illegal for telemarketers?

File a complaint to the FCC... if enough people do it, they can face fines upwards up 40,000$ and even be held acountable in a criminal court.

Received 3 phone calls from this number today. Last one was tonight around  8:16PM.  I live in Montana. First time I answered, they hung up. I tried calling back, got a fast busy signal, then tried dialing 1 before 866. It started ringing but I was too chicken sh*t to let it go. I'll call again tomorrow. I only have a debit card. The only thing I've ever purchased was Sheer Cover make up over the phone. I'm confused... will post again with more information is I receive it. Nothing has happened to my bank account.

This number has called our phone a dozen times a day for 2 days. When we answer they hang up. Please report these people!!!!!!!

I recieved the call at 1:44pm 7/25/07 I answered and they hung up then I called back and busy signals

I keep gettin phone calls from this number and i have no idea who that number belongs too

They just keep calling and never pick up when I answer

They called twice, 10AM and Noon to my cell.  After the first one I searched the net for the number and found this site.  So I was ready for call #2.

Me:  "hello"
Them: (Silence for 3 sec, then sounds of typing and room noise.) "May I speak to Anthony please?"
Me in deep authoratative voice: "Sir, you calling a firehouse." [not true]
"I am so sorry, I will put you on my do not call list."
Me:   "Wait wait, are you a vendor?  Do you sell parts for firetrucks?  If so you may have the right number...."
"No no, no we don't"
"Who are you with? I want to be sure there is no one here you need to speak with."
"I am with Sensory/Century Marketing - calling from Montana."
"OK, thank you have a good day."

I just had fun doing that.  Not sure why.  Maybe next time I will pretend to be drunk and driving, and have car accident sounds ready for them and ruin someone's day.

This number came up on my cell last night at exactly 8:16 PM. By the time I found my phone and was about to answer, it rolled over into voicemail, but they didn't leave a message. I didn't bother calling back - decided to check online - and I'm amazed at how many people received a call from this number! Sounds a bit shady to me.

getting the calls too, try calling back and get a busy tone. it's getting real annoying. is there anything we can do about it? can you have calls blocked on a cell?
