call from Lisa Edwards about federal student loan (which I never had). Left ref number of 090991. Received same call about month ago from Sarah Thomas both messages same but different return and reference numbers (voices are same) Guess Sarah's workload was too much they had to hire Lisa with the same voice.......scam, scam.

Keep getting voice mail messages from Lisa Edwards, Ref # 090991 about a student loan that I do not have...try to call back and the call drops...scam indeed

Left voice mail and my phone did not ring.  Lisa Edward's ref 090991.  I do have a student loan but from the looks of it, this is not legit

I also received a call from Lisa Edwards about federal student loan (which I never had) using the same reference number of 090991.

Just wanted to add that I'm glad I checked here. This sounded legitimate enough where I thought maybe they were legit and had just dialed the wrong number. I almost called back to tell them so they could call the right one.

I also received a call from "Lisa Edwards" mentioning the same case number. I could not check the web at the time and actually called the number. There was an automated answering operator that provided options. I selected an option and, after 20 seconds of listening to music, a male voice answered. I mentioned that I was calling about the student loan. He said, "Sure. Go ahead and provide me your credit card information.". I declined, telling him that he didn't need my credit card information and that he should already have the information just by looking up the case number. He was confused over what I said, so I repeated myself. After a moment of silence, he stated that he was going to remove me from the system. He then mumbled and finally said "good bye".

Considering that the case number was the same as what was reported here, this is definitely a scam!

Same message on 4/4.

Lisa Edwards called my mother about my student loans, same #(866) 917-5252 with reference #090991. She called in regards to my Federal Student Loan Repayment options and changes that have taken effect.  Looks like she may need to change her tactics, because this is a most certainly a scam.

Received the same message and case number as above on 4/4/19.

Received a voicemail from Lisa Edwards about my Federal Student Loan from (866) 917-5252 and changes to my Fed Student Loan. I got the same Ref. #090991.  Lisa didn't tell me who she was calling from (first red flag).  I do have a Fed Student Loan but I always search phone numbers on the internet for info before calling due to all the scams.  I checked my Fed Student Loan messages on the actual site of my loan holder.  No messages or alerts for my account.  Haven't  received an email or letter from my actual loan holder either.  Not calling Lisa back.  Scam.  If it was really my Fed Loan holder they would have left a message on my inbox via their website, emailed or sent me a letter.  Do your research before calling.

Just got a phone call from this number:  surprise, surprise!  Lisa Edwards re: student loan #090991.  Googled the phone number, and it brought me here.  Thanks for saving me a lot of hassle!

Same message, a 616 phone number.

Same deal lisa edwards. same reference number 090991. They hung up on me when I asked who they were looking for

Same call, same Lisa Edwards, same reference number as everyone else!!  Wow, did we all go to the same school and get the same student loan?  Maybe they're consolidating all our loans into one to help each other out.  Yeah sure!  SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!!!  My loans have been paid off for years!

Same message from Lisa Edwards about a student loan we don't have - same ref number - said call from McMannon Idaho as I recall - showed incoming phone number of 208-565-2888 - message said to call her back at 866-917-5252 and use reference number 090991

Same call as everyone else: Lisa Edwards saying we need to pay back a federal student loan (which we don't have), and giving reference #090991.

I received the same message.  Lisa Edwards about a student loan with ref number 090991.  Glad I checked this website and found out it is a scam.
