Received a call from a Lisa Edwards regarding my student loans. Left a reference number of #090991. When I called back and someone answered, I was hung up on both times when I stated I was returning a call.

Thanks for posting this.  I just got a message from Lisa Edwards as well,  My initial thought was that it was legit but it seemed odd she didn't leave a business name which is why I looked up the phone number.   Can't believe we would all have the same reference number if this was a legit business. Delete that voicemail!

Same person, phone # and ref#. Really sounded legit. When I looked up on reverse lookup with whitepages, they said low spam and would be safe to call, glad I checked here too!

Obviously a scam! I received the same call as everyone else, including the same "reference number". All my student loans were paid off years ago!

This gal "Lisa"  has been very busy calling folks.  She should learn at least to use a unique case # for each call.

Yes, same here, same Lisa Edwards, same reference number of 090991. Definitely a scam as I do not have any student loans! Ha!

This is a scam!  Calling about needing to discuss repayment of federal student loan.  I do not have a loan and the number that shows on ID is 518-770-0283 which rings and switches to busy when called back.  VM message says is Lisa Edwards and to ref # 090991.  This number does not answer and hangs up when calling it back.

I just received the exact same phone call today!  Said I should call back with reference number 090991.

Same as all the previous complaints: Lisa Edwards, student loan repayment, ref # 090991, etc. Said to call her back at the 866 number, but my caller id showed 904-533-4022. She didn't name the agency she was supposedly calling from, & didn't ask for anyone by name

Yup, "Lisa Edwards" is still busy calling about "your federal loans."  Scam.
