Message states the call is originating from IBC bank's fraud protection department and requests you call back so they can speak to you about suspicious usage of your visa debit card.  It is a recording.  Once you call the number back, another recording asks you to input your debit card number.  Don't do it.  This message is a fraud.  Hang up and call your branch and ask them if there is a problem with your account.  I was informed by my bank branch manager that someone is using the IBC logo to fraudulently secure your debit card account number by telephone.

The calls continue to come in from this number, even though we do not have an account with IBC and it is obviously fraud.  You cannot answer the call, but it will leave a recorded message requiring you to enter your CC number.  DO NOT fall for this scam.  Someone needs to shut them down.  ALWAYS call the number on the back of your card and ask if there's been any fraudulent or suspicious activity on your card.  NEVER fall for a scam like this!

Received a call from 866-928-9251 with an automated system asking to verify the zip code for an ibc visa/debit card. I hung up the phone and called local IBC immediately and the 866 number on the back of my visa card. Both representatives said IBC does not contact their customers that way.

I called the IBC number on the back of my card to verify that this phone number was legitimate because I was very suspicious after having not found Visa Fraud Protection Services on Visa's main website and after encountering numerous negative comments on various message boards including this one.  The IBC representative to whom I spoke told me that the number was in fact legitimate and I requested that I be connected to it.  I got a recording of my most recent transactions, verified that they were authorized by me, and that was it.

This number is a real number and is related to IBC.  I called IBC today using the number that I found on IBC's website.  I told them that I received a call from visa fraud protection services on behalf of IBC.  The guy I spoke with from IBC gave me this number 866-928-9251.  That is the same number that called me trying to verify my account.  He said sometimes they call to make sure that no one is using your card.

I received 5 calls today from this number but no one answers; I called back and it is a recording asking for my secure number or my IBC Visa credit card number.
I think is fraud as well because we never received calls from this number, but when I started using this phone to call and check my balance, we begun to receive this calls.
The phone I used was my company phone and here is where I am receivng this calls now.
It's better to call your Bank Branch.

We have gotten 6 robo-calls from this # in the last 24 hours, stating we should contact this # immediately to check inot potential fraudulent activity. We are a 200+ person business, and as confirmed with our CFO this morning, our company does not have a VISA IBC debit card. I called the number back just to check into it, and when prompted for English/ language, I was hung up on every time.... Hmmmmm.

This number is NOT an IBC Fraud number... This number needs to be STOPPED. They try to verify information that they already have about your address, date of birth so forth. I contacted IBC and this is NOT there number. Also they tried to verify fruadulent activity on a card that I deactivated and blocked since it was fraudulently used by Best Buy without my permission so IBC gave me a new card.

This number is not legit. When you call they state that they left a case ID#, which they don't, and ask you to input that number, if you do not have it, it asks you to enter you card number. The message also gave me the last four digits of the previous debit card that I had cancelled a few months ago. DON'T DO IT!!!   FRAUD!!!!

Not fraud ... I called toll-free number and spoke with a representative ... they had all my personal info and were able to look it up by my phone number.  They also had the only 2 transactions I created on the card I acquired 2 days ago and asked for no other information other than to ask if I was aware of those and if they were okay.  I believe this number ( 866-928-9251 ) is a legit number but, as always, don't give any personal information to anyone you don't know over the phone.

This call is NOT FRAUD!! I have a IBC debit card, and everytime I use it a gas station in Mexico or swipe it internationally, I instantly receive this call and the CC is blocked. If the recording leaves a voicemail, they will tell you a case number that you need to have when you call back (not CC number).

The most frustrating thing, besides your card being locked, is that when you called back to unlock it and confirm all transactions were authorized by you, when pressing 1 to confirm it never works!! You need to call the bank to someone to do it for you.

This caller is as fraudulent as the people that left positive comments about it. Do not answer, much less give them any information about your account.

This number isn't a fraud I made alot of transactions online today and suddently I wasn't able to use my debit card anymore. I checked my balance online and I had enough money available after that I recived this phone call but i didn't answer it. My debit card was put on hold. I don't think it was coincidence that they called from this number after i made alot of transactions.I didn't answerd or called back and put my debit card on hold. I went to the bank the next day and told them about the number and  they said it was their fraud prevention machine so and so... the number is not a fraud.

It's a scam, and if not then the worst that can happen is my Debit card not working for the time being.

Got a call today and informed me of suspicious activity in a credit card number that I do not even recognize.  Hanged up and block the number.  I got means to go by with out access to my debit card, if it is legit and my card goes on hold than so be it.  I'll go to the bank and work with them in person, better safe than sorry.
