- collectors-r-criminals replies to BigdaddyTelling honest people to shut up and calling them punks? Yup, your a real collector all right! 12y0 mentality, complete misunderstanding of finance and law ... who is that who should grow up here LOL?
Debt out of SOL has already been written off by the original creditor and sold to some 5th tier collection goons (like you obviously) so none of it that may be collected will ever go back to the original creditor.
But we appreciate you crawling out of the boiler room to share your dubious wisdom with us anyway, because it confirms that this site works! People who know their rights --- a bill collectors worst nightmare! - they took my $$$1-866-266-3111 is source rm is a collection agency the is full of people that take your $$ and keep it. i paid and old debt and they said they would up date my credit report because i was trying to clean up my credit. i called them back about two weeks later after i found out that my credit report was not updated and they pretended that i never spoke with them. they had all my information when they called, then they didn't. i paid over the phone with a check i called my bank to verify the money was taken and the cashed the check. so i called them back and spoke with a female that said she was the manager Lisa, she said that i was not getting my money back and it was to bad and hung up on me. don,t know what to do? i guess they are in north Carolina. far from where i am

- papatsxiI have been getting phone calls from this number and they will not tell me who they are. They want me to call a 866 number and talk to someone. Well I called and was told that extension was not available. So what do they want me to do. Keep calling until someone there finally answers the phone. If they want me to pay any money for a debt that i owe they need to send me paper work on what the debt is. I will not send any money over the phone to someone who does not have the good sence to tell me who they are.If they are trying to collect a debt that they bought from someone else. Then they call go somewhere else. I will not pay what an insurance company agreed to pay. Is there something we can do to stop them from calling and harrassing me????
- onthehunt| 3 replies(866) 938-8060 source rm or source receivables management they are a scam do not pay them they have multiple law suit against them for fraud and other lies and deception. they are a scam . i was doing research on them i think they are convicts on a work release program. asking for checking account information and credit card numbers. they call me and already had my cell phone number and my social security number, address and so on. this scares me.i called the better business bureau and the attorney generals office and filed a complaint against them and try to get the police involved. if i was you i would call them back and and find out what information they have on you and why. because they said they where trying to collect a debt on me from 8 years ago that was included in a bankruptcy and is no longer on my credit report so the only way that they could have obtained this information was through theft or a scam of some sort. but they messed with the wrong person, I'm not going to stop until they are shut down i have already spoken with an attorney, so if you can gain any information that will help please post here. i understand that debts have to be paid but when these collection agency are nothing but information and money thieves how and why would you ever pay them.

- Another victimLegitimate companies are eager to announce who they are and what business
they are in -- in fact, they spend a great deal of money on business cards,
letterhead, Web sites, billboards, and junk-mail advertising just to get
their name out. I deal with legitimate businesses every day, and I have
never, ever seen one that hides.
Now I get an anonymous call from 866-938-8060, with Caller ID information
that hides their company name, just showing the phone-company provided
area, "North Carolina" -- which is not the home location of any company
I regularly do business with. The caller left an answering-machine
message. The caller made the claim that "this is not a telemarketing
call", but amazingly, failed to mention what kind of call she *was*
making! She didn't identify herself or her company, or leave any details
at all to explain the purpose of the call, but did leave this call-back
number. By any objective test, this is not a legitimate business, and
phone calls such as these are just telephone-spam. Just as with
email-spam, the worst thing one could do is to call them back, and in
so doing, give them your own Caller ID identity -- that will only confirm
to them that the phone number they've been trying is correct, and that
their spam is working, and then you'll never get them to stop calling
you. Remember, blocking your own Caller ID does NOT function when you
call a toll-free "800" number such as this -- check with your phone
company or see the info pages at the front of your phone book if you're
not sure about that. If you make the mistake of calling them back,
their automated phone system will read your own Caller ID data, will
look up all your data in their spammers' database, and will present it
on the screen to whoever answers the phone -- you will have lost before
either of you speaks a single word. As with any spam, the best approach
is to ignore it, delete it, and eventually put the spam-master in jail
for harassing American citizens in violation of Federal law.- Caller: (company hides their identity)
- Cookie replies to BobDylansGhostAmen to that. I feel the same way.
- Jo replies to hclYou must work for the company!!! I just got a call from them actually looking for an employee who has not been w/our company for over 7 yrs. Amazed these people still have jobs they way they spoke to me. Desperate people will look for any type of job.
- CookieI get calls from 866-938-8060. I don't know who they are. I even get calls from ones I know.
I have found that when I add my information on line (name , phone number, address), people can run a search. Sometimes it's free. Much of the time you have to pay. I found this out to late. Now I will not get calls soon because there will be no phone or home address to sale to anyone, unless God steps in. I can't pay what I don't have no job , no money. Over a hundred thousand dollar s owed for my home and don't have a clue what will happen. There are many of us that would pay if we could and do it gladly. I don't know about others but I'm fearful of taking the loss that may be ahead of me. Try telling the people in Food Pantries and calling United Way for help, how much of a dead beat we are. We paid and now we can't. Why do we have to be called names. If you can pay your bills, you are blessed.Be thankful that you can. If you believe in the power of prayer remember us all who would if we could !!!!!! I for one will remember you all in mine. - non profit replies to hclyou are a douchbag, to say deadbeats who dont pay their bills blah blah blah, or maybe some people just think that the corporate america that got us into the situation we are in isnt always right, maybe they tack charges on that shouldn;t be there maybe all the employees for the douchbags like you dont do their jobs and try to rob hard working americans of their money wont bow down to peoples illegitimate claims of debts we do not owe and we refuse to pay them.and i know debt collectors that hate their jobs and are in debt as well. if you think theyr'e being robbed of their insurance claims your wrong thats why they're in the buisness and if you knew anything about this you ignorant [***] you would now debt collectors aren't owed anything.... they profit from debts already paid for by insurance companies so basically it's free money to them just because they have the power to send ratings to your credit report.hmmmmmm well let them make thier calls, it's because of all this that even though you don;t realize it, we taxpayers have been paying these debt's all along to be harassed, forclosed, bankrupt, you name it...YOUR THE [***] THA SAY'S THAT 85% OF AMERICA ARE DEADBEAT LOSER take a look in the mirror YOU'RE THE REASON WE WONT PAY BECAUSE YOU'RE THE 15% OF AMERICANS THAT ARE IGNORANT ASSHOLS AND IT JUST HURTS KNOWING THE WORLD IS FILLED WITH PEOPLE LIKE YOU!!!!!so if you read this and i hope you do try not to leave your next waitress a 3% tip cause she has bills to and cannot pay them because of you, so take this not and shove it right where you hide your money from the government. PEACE LOVE AND UNITY
- Source RM Don't ExistHaha...that's how I treat 'em. This company is on the absolute lowest rung of the collection industry. They're not a reputable firm, they're bottom feeders who buy up old debt from real agencies. Ignore them. Let them call you until their auto-dialer burns out, haha! I never answer calls from ANYONE I don't recognize. Just let these losers go bankrupt...bottom-feeder old debt collectors go out of business every other day.
Oh, and the poster who made the comment about DEADBEATS posted the same message twice under two different names. Hmmmmmmmmm. Hahahahaha it's probably Source RM's CEO - he has nothing better to do since nobody takes their calls, and he's bored!- Call type: Debt collector
- suzannei got an automated call from this number telling that it had to do with an overdue account.i dont have any past due accounts and i am already on the do ot call list.

- r replies to hcl1st of all u have no right to call anyone a deadbeat. Some people have been through tough times or life changing situations where bills can not be paid. Maybe some debt collectors are legit, BUT this comapny is not, they try to collect on debt well over the staute. So U grow up and stop calling people names while judging someone u dont know!!!!!!!!!
- sickofidiots replies to hclExcuse me but it seems that you have your head stuck so far up your own ass that you can't see that there are millions of good people in this country who fall on hard times and are trying to make ends meet enough to survive. They are not deadbeats! Maybe you should take a closer look into your parents lives, I'm sure they've suffered along the way too in order for you to have that silver spoon in your mouth. I wonder how long you and your 'friends' who work at collectocrap sucked the welfare line before getting your current employment??? If anyone needs to grow up honey, get yourself a full length mirror!
- IFthey keep calling my cell but do not leave messages - need them to take my number off the list
- longshotJust got off the phone with this jack ass who insisted i was a deadbeat andI tried to explain that I have just gotten out of the hospital w/heart trouble and that i had to have emergency surgery ,he said that if i wasn't going to pay my bills that I should have just gone ahead and died!I could not cuss him hard enough in the short breath that i have but if I could get my hands around his neck I would use my last breath to take his last breath ,what is this world coming to whenpeople treat others the way they do ,I hope GOD has mercy on him ,no on second thought he doesn't deserve it .I hope he rots in HELL
- What The Frak? These people called me and the lady on the phone refused to tell me where she was calling from and why. She kept asking for me and when I told her she was speaking to the person in question she told me that I should identify myself when people asked who I was. This was after I kept asking her who SHE was and why she was calling me. I laughed and said "You should identify yourself as well" after asking her over and over what this was about, she continued to deflect my questions, then told me "this will go on your credit" and hung up on me. After that, I called back and got some crazy in the closet hillbilly who quoted Bill Clinton at me. I asked if there was some sort of payment plan I could do, and he said yes then asked me how much I could afford. I told him $25 a month was all I could spare since I'm working like 16 hours a week at the only job I could find. He then said "I can't take that, we can only take $100" I told him that wasn't going to happen, and asked if he was refusing my payment. After I said that he said "Oh so you want to go the legal route eh? Want to play hard ball? Fine, I'm not going to give you a discount and we want payment in full today."
He was crazy, and said he was crazy, I hung up on him as he continued to rant in his hillbilly accent... not even sure what the hell he was saying. These people are shady as all hell. - LaurenThese people start early in the morning and continue calling about every other hour until late at night. (every day) The call and hang up, leave no message. I do not owe anyone any money. I just moved into this area and ever since I got this phone number, the calls started....

- gegeThese scum bags keep calling me at work and leaving messages and I don't even know what they say I supposedly owe? They never mention an amount, a debt or the name of a company that I've allegedly defaulted on. Just something about a reference #? You can't ever get to speak to a real live person when you call the number back. THIS IS A SCAM.

- jenbabe replies to onthehuntI got the same thing recently. I had the BBB investigate them. They had an address on there for me that I never lived at. The first lady hung up on me. I called back and asked for a supervisor and asked him why she hung up and me and his reply was "i dont know, that would be like me asking you why your mom watches law and order." ?????? Made no sense. I did a credit report, nothings on there. THe first lady threatened me with my credit score. THey were rude and of course didn't want to help me. I'm so with you on bringing them down. They knew my name and last four of my social!
