This number called me claiming to sue me if I don't pay on an account that my ex husband opened in his own name 11 years ago. We have been divorced for almost 5 years now. The guy called himself Ron Jones and was a total [***] when I told him I'm not paying him and that I will see him in court. He faxed me some payment information that I will keep just in case he has the balls to take me to court. Little does he know... I'm a cop and I am going to follow up with the FBI and send cops to the upland address that he had on his letterhead. 305 2nd ave., upland, ca. We need to let people know about this so that nobody pays him. He sounds like a thug and hung up on me again when I told him I don't care if I get summoned to court.. I go to court weekly and unless you get served there will be no warrant for your arrest. Any other issues please post in here so I can add it to the case. This guy is messing with the wrong person. I don't take this lightly and it's wrong what he's doing. There was another person who said her name was Elyse Kennedy. I tracked them to a po box but they have no other info on it. I will follow up on Monday and keep you all posted. If you Ron jones are reading this.... Might want to change your name and hide. You can't hide forever.

I have been getting calls threatening that they are gonna serve my father with court papers due to a credit card that was charged off its to the point they call everyday and I finally answered they emailed me papers with an address in upland that turns out to be a mail depot I called the mail depot only to be informed that they just obtained a mail box there a couple of weeks ago and they are based out of Ontario,ca the company hensley and cooper isn't even real they are calling family members and pressuring me to send them 1500

The man I spoke to is David porter did u speak to them too? They keep threatening to serve my father with papers and he said if I wasn't going to pay I should get a lawyer bt he refuses to give me his address to go to the supposed layers office and I have the same address u have that they emailed me

Follow the steps in what you need to know. Send them a cease & desist letter via certified or return receipt US. mail.  Keep any phone messages and record all calls from them. Keep a notepad also with the details of the calls.

Thanks this helps it just scares me because they are threatening to show up at my parents house with papers and threatening to put a lien on their home can they do this? The supposed process server calls from a private number and when I don't answer they call from an 909-303-7008 number and the mans name is David porter manager of litigations. What I can't understand is how they are obtaining family member's phone numbers?

Total scam.  Ignore 'em.  You might want to go to local police too.   My understanding is that these scammers work ouftof a some  UPS PO boxes in Upland or the surrounding area.  The local police might be able to help.

I have bad debt from my 20s that I've been trying to clean up and I've been getting more scam bill collectors then real ones.
My father got a call from a person claiming to be a process server, he said failing to call within 24 hours will result in "felony proceeding". (first red flag) they gave a phone number of 855-485-1849 and a case number. I called to see if anyone would answer, a guy answered "corporate offices", I hung up. Called again later and Mr. Rodriguez answered "law offices". I asked what law office, he said Hensley and Cooper. I asked for BAR numbers to verify the lawyers, he said they are a legal preparations office not a law office so he didn't have to provide any numbers. I gave him the case number and he put me on hold and got the file. He asked me to verify, I told him my name and the HE read me my entire SSN number and asked me if that number is "familiar to me". Well come to find out its about a debt that I DO owe for a HSBC credit card with an original balance of $500 10 years ago. He told me the company who holds the debt is RM Funding, I pulled my credit report and this is not the correct company that has the debt (this debt drops off my report this year) I told him theres no case against me and he said " its getting filed tomorrow" he then said I could stop the filing by making a $200 payment.  In the begging I asked for an address and he gave me 305 N 2nd ave, upland ca 91786

Mike b , same guy David porter contacted me out of 305 n 2nd ave upland,ca....same song n dance...ask him if i could come down to fill out paper work , he told me oh thats not our office so i asked where is it, he responded i cant give that out since we get threat calls....crazy thing is this guy had alot of info about me, but on the assume debt he was claiming i called and they said they never sold my supposedly debt to any one of that name. My wife works for ontario police ,will be following up real soon , David Porter stumbles for words making it easy to distiguish the perfessionalism of his nature ........glad I was able to resolve it with the assumed debt company ....I will be seeing you in court if i do get served ........

After about 6 months of no activities I received another phone call from these guys leaving a number of 9093037005. Same practices and threats as before.

Ron Jones called my son's number even and I don't even know what its about, and his number is even unlisted and this creep still stole it. And he has been doing this for sometime to other people from what it looks like on these posts. How does this vermin get by with threatning people? I thought that was illegal. but he's running and illegal business and I owe the sob nothing and he's getting nothing.
