They are legit! Got a voicemail from State Employees Credit Union Fraud Prevention. Caller ID said 919-856-5005. Checked my account online and sure enough, 45 minutes prior there was a $33.50 charge on my debit card at a Kroger in Fort Worth, TX! I am in North Carolina! They are sending me a new debit card immediately. They were on the ball! Return their call! There is probably something going on with your card!

Yes, it is legit!  I just received a message to call them back and before I did, I called my local branch and they told me it is the Falcon Dept. in Raleigh that monitors suspicious credit card activity.  So I called and they told me that I had a $3.15 charge in a town that was over 3 hours from me.  Thankfully, it was me as I was on vacation and used the card to make a purchase in the hotel.

Received called from someone named "Dana" phone 919-856-05005 directing me to call 866-961-1371 NCSECU fraud unit.  I called two branches and they stated there was not any fraudulent activity present regarding my account. In doubt visit NC SECU website https://www.ncsecu.org/Security/WhenWhyHowSECUWillContactYou.html or your local branch.

SECU fraud prevention. Same exact scenario as others. Same callback number left. My first stop was my account info and there were two unauthorized charges. I returned the call, they asked about those two exact charges with zero input from me, I confirmed they were unauthorized, the read me my address and I confirmed it was right, and they cut off my card immediately. Money is being put back on my account and a new card is otw to me. This IS legit. I was asked for no info other than to confirm the charges were not legit and to confirm the address they had on file was correct. Check your pending charges and you’ll likely see something too. I was not asked for card numbers, my PIN or anything else that should not have been queried.

This telephone number is from SECU bank.  The person from SECU called because of a suspicious charge was made with my bank card.   The rep. wanted to verify if I had made the purchase.  Legit business number.

Jim left the message at 7:40 and when I found it after noon I called the number.  Ashley knew from my phone number who I was and asked about a charge, which was OK.  She only asked was I really David.  The initial phone tree message was "Thank you for calling your Credit Union ...".

This is a legitimate call from the North Carolina State Employees’ Credit Union Fraud Prevention Center.  They will not ask for specific credit or debit card information.  They simply want to ensure that you placed charges on your card.

Never trust a caller is whom they claim to be, especially when it comes to Banking!  Always check by calling on a known published number.

So you knew who called you and why?  Then you went an looked the number up?  Now what possible reason would there be for you to do that?  Only shills come here telling people that "it is legit".  That is because they want people to pick up the phone so that they can steal money from them.  You should get an honest job.
