Thanks to the poster above! I told them I was recording the call. They said eff you and hung up on me. Yeah, real legit company.

They called me with the same crap threat about "affidavit being filed in xxx county for check fraud" etc. Claimed to be representing Gateway Holdings, the lowest of the low internet loan companies, banned in most (if not all now) states, and under cease and desist orders from others (including mine), which means they could not POSSIBLY file legal papers. Same scum, different day. They and the scum they claim to represent are low-life, robo-dialing liars and thieves. Pay them nothing, and remind them that Gateway is under investigation by the FBI's ic3 group as they are operating across both state and US borders to run this scam, and their shills are violating the FDCPA to aid and abet fraud

From ARG and left a message to call back. Same message as the rest of the callers complain.

Their website says they do things "ethically and legally". There's nothing ethical or legal about the phone calls I am receiving and that are being made to other people about me. I called them back and told them if they want to speak to someone about this they can call my attorney, who will address their illegal collection practices.  They stopped calling for a couple of days and are now calling again. I reported them to the Consumer Protection group.

Oscar thanks for your posts. They are now leaving computer messages only instructing me to call back or press 1 if I want to be immediately connected. I think they are reading these posts too. They're blocked but somehow managed to leave vm messages. And I record everything and report everything so they are screwed. They now identify themselves as ARG Financial and say that their final review department is reviewing  my case. I need to call to make a statement or their recommendation to their client will be a judgement without my statement being included. Again gross misrepresentation. Reporting again with my fun new recording. The debt isn't even valid. They've been calling for the last 4 years. It stops and restarts periodically. They've left messages with my boss, my brother, my parents and my ex. How they got those numbers no clue. That's illegal they cannot disclose info unless its to me. Their "if you're not so and so don't listen" doesn't cover their [***]. I appreciated your posts so much.
