- Marcia| 1 replyWell I got the call from them last week and mysteriously this past weekend someone ripped off my debit card for over $1000 in fraudulent charges. I gave them no information over the phone but they seem to have collected a large amount of personal data from my credit report. I'm going to report them for illegal access to my credit report. They are a scam, send them no money. I hope they do some serious jail time for taking advantage of people. How do they sleep at night.

- said im sued| 2 replieskevin called me today, gave this number to call. they said they are suing me, verified my physical address. yes, old paper, no longer on my credit report. do they have the right to sue? they did not say they were a collection agency. can i sue them, and if so, how?
- . replies to said im sued| 1 replyMost complaints against the Corona Scam report that they use threats of some "lawsuit" to coerce payment without ever providing any proof the alleged debt exists or is owed to them.
The "process server" calls are fake, made by people hired off the street operating from the same call centers in Corona as the closers. Their purpose is to scare you and get you to call in a panic. You can find many reports from consumers who checked with their local court and found no lawsuit had been filed. You can also find many obvious shill posts pretending to be from panicked consumers claiming they had been "sued".
You can find an attorney familiar with FDCPA and FCRA law licensed in your state, at www.naca.net - jason replies to kevin johnsonHey Kevin(not your real name) your fun is almost over. I know who you are and I have personal information on you and have turned you in to the feds. So enjoy yourself and all the money you have stolen from the public. Because it will all be gone soon when you are behind bars.
- liar! replies to Marciaya right ... you never gave these people your credit card info to run a payment right? oh, thats right they use magic...Magically by speaking to you over the phone... they can look into your wallet and get all that ingo plus the sec code on the back of your card!...moron
- FYIAnyone who claims to have a debt they are collecting on, no matter how they came into possesion of this debt, whether a legitimate debt or not - most seem to avoid using the U S Mail. By doing so they are possibly skirting the law or are dealing with a very gray area and are avoiding the possibility of commiting "postal fraud" by using the U S Mail. Insist on something in writing being sent certified mail and any payment being submitted by certified mail. The typical reason for not doing so is that people ignore mail - will never accept the certified mail and calling and talking in person gets a higher percentage of results for them. Do not accept the use of FedEX or UPS - U S Mail only. Insist on this as the only way for them to receive on any type of payment being made
- . replies to .They were just sued by FTC. A TRO and asset freeze is in effect.

- Deb SheedloI could make out very little of what she was saying, There was a lot of static in the background, a lot of other people talking, she had a heavy accent, could have been from the mid east not quite sure. Talk very fast. Said it concern my computer. It had viruses. I said and how would you know that? She ignored that question. We can help you. I said I was not interested. Please do not call again. They have been calling 8 to 10 times a day, all hours too early and too late.
The only number that shows up on my phone when they call is 990. How do I figure out who they are?
